‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: ‘DOOL’ Star Joseph Mascolo Dead At 87

It’s a sad day for Days Of Our Lives fans. We can confirm that DOOL star Joseph Mascolo has passed away at 87 years old. Mascolo is well known for his role as Stefano DiMera on the NBC soap opera, he recently stepped down after playing the part since 1982.

Ken Corday released an official, heart-felt statement regarding Mascolo’s death, after battling Alzheimer’s Disease. Corday stated, “It is with great sorrow that I’m sharing the news of the passing of our dear friend and beloved member of the Days of our Lives family, Joseph Mascolo.”

The Days Of Our Lives showrunner added, “The smile on Joe’s face is something we’d all come to find comfort in, and he will be sorely missed. His larger than life presence, kind heart, and unwavering positivity has impacted us all for decades, and will live on in the memories of his many fans. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.”

Our hearts go out to Mascolo’s friends and family, this is truly a sad day for soap opera fans.
