‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Dena Higley Back Writing At DOOL

‘Days of Our Lives’ Co-head writer Dena Higley has returned from her vacation. The American executive who took some time off earlier this year shares that she’s back writing. “Thanks to my DOOL family for my personal time off. Very excited to co-head write with amazing Ryan Quan. Our material starts on air 9/6,” is what she tweeted.

Higley and Quan’s material official begins to air on the 6th of September. But what sort of material is coming up then? ‘Days of Our Lives’ viewers have been craving some drastic storyline changes. They hoped a few characters will now become back burners and others front burner, some couples would reunite, and faster storyline development.

We know for a fact that many fan favorite returns are in the works but how they will be written back in is still a mystery. We also know that major focus will be on finding baby Tate and his kidnapper and what happened to Abigail Deveraux. Spoilers tease that Andre [Thaao Penghlis] will make Abby appear as if she’s dead but does not reveal when Salem will discover the truth.

Other focus will be on romantic developments for some couples and that includes several weddings. For one we know Brady [Eric Martsolf] and Theresa [Jen Lilley] will try to tie the knot but their wedding audience becomes hostages for prison escapees. Then there is the wedding of Lucas [Bryan Dattilo] and Adrienne [Judi Evans] and likewise of John [Drake Hogestyn] and Marlena [Decide Hall].

While this may not be sufficient teases for viewers as to what Higley has conjured up in her writing we are happy to have her back. Hopefully, with this new set of material, the ratings will continue to increase. Welcome back, Dena Higley!!
