‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Daniel Cosgrove And Matthew Ashford Both Return During May Sweeps – New Spoilers Revealed!

The long awaited return of Matthew Ashford and Daniel Cosgrove is right around the corner, as spoilers for ‘Days of Our Lives’ tease that both actors will back on screen for May sweeps. For months now fans have been waiting to see their favorites back in Salem, and now  it is only a matter of weeks before their wish is granted.

Ashford is set to reprise the role of Jack Deveraux for an approximate 5 episodes. Spoilers indicate that Jack is still dead and returns as ghost for a few episodes to help out his beloved Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) deal with her new found addiction. According to Reeves in an interview she did with Michael Logan, there will be an entire episode centered on the super couple. Jennifer’s back pain caused her to be totally dependent on pills, an addiction no one saw coming.

Since Eric (Greg Vaughan) has been shipped off to prison, Abigail (Kate Mansi) is off getting help, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) is caught up in her own love life and family issues, Jennifer really has no one to lean on or to help her through this rough patch. Hence the need for Jack to show up and knock some sense into her, even if it is in ghost form.

Cosgrove on the other hand will be sticking around for a much longer period. Spoilers tease that he will reprise the role of Aiden Jennings, one which he exited just last year. Just how the writers plan to do this story is yet to be revealed. It seems as if Aiden is in fact alive, so maybe the Aiden we met before was an impostor. He could have possibly be somebody hired by the DiMera’s or Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) to cause trouble for Hope Brady. What exactly does Aiden’s return mean for the one’s he left behind including his son Chase (Jonathon McClendon)?
