'Days Of Our Lives' News: Bryan Datillo Discusses Will Horton's Death, Most Unusual DOOL Fan EncounterBryan Dattilo  (Lucas Horton, Days of Our Lives) and Vincent Irizarry (Deimos Kiriakis, Days of Our Lives) called in to Take2Radiio’s “Soaps in Review” podcast to participate in a contest for a fan to win a ticket to an upcoming fan event that they and several other Days of Our Lives (Days) actors will attend next month. The two also answered questions from hosts about a variety of Days-related topics.

Dattilo answered one question each from hosts. One host asked how he felt when he found out his on-screen son, Will, would fall victim to the Necktie Killer.  In his warm, congenial voice he replied, “I was shocked and a little saddened,” he said. But he said that that he trusted that the writers knew what they were doing, and on a soap, even a death could lead to plenty of future storylines involving the deceased and his or her loved ones.  The scenes he played in the aftermath of Will’s death were some of those he feels most proud of as an actor too.

Host David Salvagni asked what his most unusual fan encounter was. Bryan answered that the fan he met who had his signature tattooed on her ankle was definitely the most unusual!

Irizarry called in as a surprise. He regaled hosts and listeners, in his jovial, affable voice and shared his views on the cancellation of All My Children (AMC) and One Life To Live (OLTL), his storied career on soaps going as far back as Santa Barbara and as recent as his return as Deimos Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives. He made a point to say that although the Prospect Park venture into keeping AMC and OLTL alive online went under (for now), that all involved had good intentions. And who could say what would happen after the Prospect Park vs. ABC lawsuit is resolved?

So ‘Days’ fans, what do you think of Bryan Dattilo’s comments on Will’s death?  What about Vincent Irizarry’s views on the cancellation of AMC and OLTL?  Let us know what you think in the comments below!
