‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: ‘Bold’ Alum Lorenzo Lamas Set To Replace Peter Reckell In ‘The Fantasticks’ Revival

‘Days of Our Lives’ alum Peter Reckell [Ex-Bo Brady] will be replaced by Lorenzo Lamas in ‘The Fantasticks’ when he departs the role after a limited run. Shortly after the news broke that Reckell had booked a role in the revival of ‘The Fantasticks’ comes news that former ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ star Lorenzo Lamas will replace him as reported by Soap Central.
The off-Broadway production of ‘The Fantasticks’ is underway. It will happen this September, but Reckell was only scheduled for a limited appearance. Reckell’s run will last from September 5 to 25 as he plays the role of the charismatic narrator. After he leaves Lamas will step in and we are sure he will do an excellent job.
Lamas is known for his role as Hector Ramirez on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. He spent years there from 2004 – 2007 and afterwards he went on to doing primetime. He also played roles on Renegade and Falcon Crest. To this date, he has a long list of television appearances which include roles in California Fever, Detour to Terror, Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, Miss Teen USA 1985, Gone Country, Are You Hot, Dancin’ to the Hits, Raptor Island, Deep Evil, The Paradise Virus, Big Time Rush, The Eric Andre Show, Lucha Underground. His first appearance in the Broadway production is scheduled for October 24th and will take place at The Theatre Center in Times Square.

It’s actually not strange for Lamas to be a part of this revival. Both he and Reckell had previous experience with the show. Lamas played El Gallo in one show that took place in Fort Worth, Texas and Reckell played The Mute when the show was originally on approximately 35 years ago. Congratulations to both actors on their new gig.
