‘Days of Our Lives’ News: Anne-Marie Johnson Debuts in Recurring Role on DOOL April 26

“Days of Our Lives” has added another cast member and she’ll be debuting quite soon! On Hallmark’s “Home and Family,” Anne-Marie Johnson made an announcement about her upcoming stint on DOOL. There no news on what character she’ll be playing, but Jason47’s “Days” website notes that Johnson is actually no stranger to the NBC soap.

Johnson played Dr. Patel on “Days of Our Lives” back in 2012, but you might remember her as Althea Tibbs on “In the Heat of the Night.” She played Althea for six seasons and her performance drew some high praise. Many DOOL viewers seem excited about this cast addition. We’re always grateful when great performers pop up.

Johnson’s first appearance in this recurring role will be on April 26. We don’t know how this character might be introduced, but there was a casting call for a psychiatrist named Dr. Robinson back in October. Since Johnson has played a doctor on “Days” before, could she play a new one this time around? She’d probably be a good fit.

“Days of Our Lives” rumors hint that Abigail (Kate Mansi) could be headed to a psychiatric facility before long. She’ll need to get a grip on her mental health. Perhaps Dr. Robinson could advise Abigail that quality treatment would indeed be the best thing for her. Once Abigail is out of the picture, there are plenty of other Salemites who could use some help. Marlena (Deidre Hall) can’t maintain the whole town’s sanity on her own!
