‘Days Of Our Lives’ alum Chandler Massey (ex-Will Horton), who won innumerable fans and three daytime Emmy Award’s as the legacy character and son of Sami Brady and Lucas Horton, is playing the lead role in “Aquarians,” a film currently in production.
“Aquarians” tells the story of a seminary student who makes his way home to reunite with his brother, whom he drifted apart from after a “past tragedy,” according to the film’s website “changed their lives forever.” It also makes a mysterious reference to a “Father Rob” whom Massey’s character comes to assist in dying.
Fans have lately been clamoring for the return of Massey as Will Horton, who fell victim to Ben, The Necktie Killer, in a move fans expressed great disapproval of on social media and message boards. If that return did happen it would be a rare bright spot on a story canvas that gets darker and darker, what with a murder in cold blood (Hope killing Stefano), a teenage rape (Chase assaulting Ciara), and a fatal car accident that took the life of beloved character of Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian). Massey originated the role of Will, and though other actors portrayed him with skill and to their own fan base, none hit it as big with fans as Massey.

And, Massey would likely need little adjustment to filming at Days if he did come back after completing this film, given the sets and stories “Aquarians” promises. The film’s website depicts scenes of eerie dusk lighting over frozen land, as its set in the “wintry woods” of the Wisconsin/Michigan border. Atop photos of these spooky scenes is an equally sinister quote by playwright, Sam Shepard, from his play “True West”: “…ask them what kinda’ people kill each other the most. What do you think they’d say? Family people. Brothers.”
