‘Days of Our Lives News’: Alison Sweeney’s New Novel Reveals More Hollywood Secrets

‘Days of Our Lives‘ alum Alison Sweeney has released a new novel that reveals more Hollywood secrets. The former Sami Brady from ‘Days’ has written a third book that gives readers a peek into the celebrity world through the eyes of a makeup artist title ‘Opportunity Knocks.’

Alison’s main character, Alex Cleary, gets her dream job – a makeup artist for Hillary, a culinary star with a million-dollar lifestyle empire. However, Alex’s dream becomes a bit of a nightmare when she violates a confidentiality clause in her contract. Lucky for Sweeney’s heroine, a hot Hollywood hunk is there to help Cleary right her wrong. Alison Sweeney amd her publisher, Hachette Books, shared a sneak peek of her new book back in December when the book became available for pre-order. Now, the books are on sale!

Alison spoke with Soap Opera Digest about the book saying, “Makeup artists deal with the craziest people sometimes, so this book is really fun and gossipy and has some great you-can’t-believe-people-really-behave-this-way type stories,” Sweeney revealed. “The other thing that I really love about this novel is that New York is a big character. I just loved taking my perception of New York as, like, the ultimate L.A. girl, and how I see this beautiful city and how the character discovers it through her eyes. So for me, it was really fun.”
