We had the utmost privilege of interviewing the popular soap opera actress Melissa Archer via Twitter. Archer is probably most known for playing the role of Natalie Buchanan on the now defunct ‘One Life to Live’ and Serena Mason on ‘Days of Our Lives’. In the interview Archer shared some details on upcoming projects she is working on. She also spoke about her time on DAYS and OLTL; check below to see the full interview:
Your fans have been missing you like crazy ever since your departure from DAYS, what would you like to say to those fans?
I so appreciate their affection and loyalty, and I hope they will join me to whatever my journey leads me to next. I have the best fans in Daytime. Without a doubt.
Have you kept in touch with your DAYS family? If so who mostly?
I have with a few. Eric, Kassie, Molly.
If given to opportunity to return to DAYS or do another daytime show, would you?
I’m always open to opportunity. If my team and I agree that it’s a good fit, then we would move forward.
Was there are any similarities between you and the characters you played on OLTL & DAYS?
Sure there’s a little of me in them. I think mostly they have traits I wish I had in real life. It’s true. They’re tough. Take no bullshit, quick witted. I’d love to have those traits strengthened in me.
What projects are you currently working on that you can share with us? What can fans expect from you in the near future?
I just finished up a film South 32 that will be at the Crest Theater in Westwood on March 12th. Also a film I worked on a few years ago is having its NYC screening on March 24th, Coach of the Year.
What can u say about the character u play in South32? We see Sean Kanan plays a role in South32 as well. Do u play alongside him? And what was that like?
My character, Delilah, has a very interesting journey after deciding to try and forgive the people who bullied her sister into suicide. She is a very strong woman despite the tragedies she encounters. Sean Kanan plays one of the detectives that is investigating a case that my character is a victim in. Robert Taylor plays the other detective, and his character doesn’t like mine. At all. It’s a really fun psychological thriller. I haven’t seen it, but what I saw in ADR looks killer! Definitely not suited for kids though.
So Melissa Archer fans what are your thoughts on this? Are you anticipating seeing Archer in South32 and Coach of the Year? Do you miss her on DAYS?

I love Melissa & was disappointed that Serena was killed off on DAYS. I hope to see her as OLTL’s Natalie again some day. I will certainly seek out these movies!
