‘Days Of Our Lives’ Interview: Marie Wilson Dishes On New Character Summer – What Can DOOL Fans Expect?

“Days of Our Lives” star Marie Wilson is very excited to return to the NBC daytime drama. The actress has even undergone a makeover and she’s back on the canvas as a blonde!

Hopefully “DAYS” fans won’t confuse Summer with Bree Tjaden. This time around Marie is some kind of mystery woman who will entice Brady Black [Eric Martsolf]. Sounds as if Teresa Donavan [Jen Lilley] has some romantic competition for Brady’s affection.

In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest the actress revealed that was more than happy to be back on the “DOOL” set. Marie met with co-executive producer Albert Alarr, executive producer Ken Corday and co-head writer Josh Griffith. The trio explained what they were looking for with the character of Summer and that she has what it takes to portray the new girl in town.

Though Marie Wilson can’t tell you much about Summer right now, she asks that “Days of Our Lives” fans be open to what is going to happen when Summer hits Salem. There was a lot of preparation in getting the character on the canvas. Summer is a complicated individual who has faced many obstacles in life. Interestingly enough, Marie divulged in the interview with Soap Opera Digest, she has portrayed this kind of character before, but she’s not going to tell anymore!

After vacating the role of “DAYS” Bree it wasn’t long before Marie Wilson was back out auditioning for movies. Wilson appeared in the short film “The Last Words” as a mother who helps her son though a difficult time dealing with his disability. The short film takes place during the 1970s and deals with deafness. It was screened at the Seattle Deaf Film Festival.
