‘Days Of Our Lives’ Interview: Alison Sweeney Reveals She Misses Salem – Will Sami Brady Return To ‘DOOL?’

‘Days of Our Lives’ Alison Sweeney [Sami Brady] would consider a return to ‘DOOL’ if asked the actress recently revealed to Soap Opera Digest. Right now the actress and author is enjoying the success of her new novel ‘Opportunity Knocks’ and filming ‘Murder, She Baked: Fudge Cupcake Mystery.’

The book is the third one that Alison has penned. The story focuses on a makeup artist named Alex and the ups and downs, highs and lows, of being a makeup artist to the rich and famous. Alison revealed that this is a “fun and gossipy and has some great you can’t believe people really behave this way” type of novel.

Even though Alison is involved in writing and producing and other acting projects there’s always s a chance she’ll return to ‘Days of Our Lives.’ Alison remains in contact with Deidre Hall [Marlena Evans] and Kristian Alfonso [Hope Brady] as well as ‘DOOL’ alum Kate Mansi [Abigail Deveraux].

Speaking about her time on the daytime drama Alison Sweeney admitted she does miss playing Sami, but she’s glad Sami isn’t in Salem right now. “From what I’ve heard, Salem seems very dangerous these days.”

In addition to completing her third novel ‘Opportunity Knocks’ Alison is busy with her ‘Murder , She Baked’ series for Lifetime Network. Sweeney is currently in Canada filming the next installment, ‘Murder, She Baked: Fudge Cupcake Mystery.’

It is the fourth film in the series and co-stars Cameron Mathison [Ryan Lavery, ‘All My Children’] as Mike Kingston. Alison stars as Hannah Swensen, a small town bakery owner and amateur detective. The other three made-for-television movies in the series are ‘Murder, She Baked: A Chocolate Chip Cookie Mystery,’ ‘Murder, She Baked: A Plum Pudding Murder Mystery’ and ‘Murder, She Baked: A Peach Cobbler Mystery.’

‘Days of Our Lives’ fans do you think TPTB will bring Sami Brady back to Salem? Alison Sweeney is open to the possibility. You never know, Sami could return some day.
