After a harrowing health scare, Michelle and Steve will finally find out if they are having a boy or a girl. In recently released Coronation Street spoiler photos Michelle and Steve have tears of joy as they watch the screen as the ultrasound is performed.

Michelle had considered terminating the pregnancy at one point because Steve believed he may have inherited the Muscular Dystrophy gene from his father Jim McDonald [Charles Lawson]. Thankfully the couple received good news – Steve does not carry the gene for Muscular Dystrophy.

Coronation Street viewers will need to wait a little longer to find out the gender of Michelle and Steve’s baby. Coronation Street spoilers tease that UK fans will find out on Monday, December 12. That’s the day ITV will air Michelle and Steve’s ultrasound visit and results.

This baby’s gender reveal comes following Michelle’s shocking suicide attempt. A previous Coronation Street spoiler revealed a devastated Michelle was about to jump off a railway bridge. Robert Preston [Tristan Gemmill] came to her rescue and talked a sobbing Michelle down off the bridge.

The joyous news about the baby’s gender may not be enough to keep Michelle and Steve’s marriage from crumbling. Michelle is having a secret affair with Robert and no good can come of the illicit relationship. But Steve has been keeping a secret of his own. Michelle’s friend Leanne Batterby [Jane Danson] had a one night stand with Steve. Leanne is pregnant, and yes, Steve is the father of the baby boy.

Once Michelle finds out about Steve’s affair with Leanne will Michelle forgive Steve? Michelle might have been able to forgive a one night stand, but having a baby with another woman is the ultimate betrayal.

In a recent interview with RadioTimes.com the actress if Steve finds out about her affair with Robert then Steve may not be able to forgive Michelle. In turn, Kym Marsh believes Michelle will never forgive Steve for his betrayal either.
