‘All My Children’ fans have started a petition asking that the canceled soap opera be picked up by Netflix. The streaming service has recently offered reboots of several popular network shows including ‘Arrested Development,’ ‘Fuller House’ and the upcoming ‘Gilmore Girls.’
Not long ago fans of ‘One Life to Live,’ another daytime drama canceled by ABC, began a petition to bring the soap to Netflix. The ipetition garnered 2,128 signatures, 1,128 more than its goal of 1,000 signatures. In addition, fans were directed to call Netflix to request ‘OLTL’ be brought to the streaming service.

One former ‘AMC’ viewer noted that if customers call Netflix at the number provided on the website for customer service it is possible that would push Netflix to push forward to purchase the rights to ‘All My Children.’
Prospect Park, the company that bought the ABC soap, attempted to bring ‘All My Children’ back online, but the attempt was a miserable failure. It is unclear whether or not it was because fans were not yet prepared to pay for something that had been free for so long or if the new storylines drove viewers away.

The ipetition for Netflix to pick up the rights to ‘AMC’ is in need of signatures. The goal Stacey Readinger, the fan who began the petition, has set is 3,000 signature. There are currently less than 50 signatures.
If you are a fan of ‘All My Children’ and you want to see Netflix get the rights to not only pick up where the ABC daytime drama left off but also gain the rights to back episodes you need to sign the petition. Netflix has been very responsive to listening to its customers’ requests and it’s very possible viewers could see the daytime drama in the Netflix lineup sometime in the future.
