“Winterthorne” premieres online at Winterthorne.com August 27 and there is quite a bit of excitement and anticipation surrounding its release. The sweeping drama chronicles the ridiculously wealthy Winterthorne family and their vast candy empire. Filmed in Idyllwild, California, executive producer Michael Caruso, who also stars in the online series, has amassed an incredible cast gleaned from the best of daytime dramas.
One might call “Winterthorne” a modern-day “Downton Abbey” but with more secrets and deceit. If the extended trailer is any indication, the Winterthorne women are strong, independent and, at times, downright catty. The story revolves around Miranda Winterthorne (Martha Madison) and her struggle to retain control of the Winterbourne family candy empire.
aniela Dilorio, host of WebVee Guide, caught up with the cast at the red carpet premiere on August 16. They spilled a few secrets about the twists and turns viewers can expect. Martha Madison describes her character as “layered and dynamic” who will go to great lengths to control the family candy empire.
Other cast members include “General Hospital” stars Kathleen Gati (Valentina Winterthorne) and Kristin Storms (Selene Winterthorne). Another stellar addition to the cast is Gordon Thomson (Maxmillian Winterthorne). He has had roles in several daytime dramas, including “Santa Barbara,” “The Young and the Restless,” “Passions,” and “Days of Our Lives.” Thomson revealed that Maxmillian Winterthorne is unlike any character he has ever portrayed.
Linda Gray (Joanna Winterthorne), (Ron Hanks (Jelly Bean Jimmy), Kevin Spirtas (Dominic Delacourt), John-Paul Lavoisier (Hugh Cambridge), Conrad Bluth (Young Colin Winterthorne) and Josh Throwe (Colin Winterthorne) are just a few of the other stars who round out the cast. They promise that there will be passion, jealousy, grudges and treachery along the way.
Executive producer Michael Caruso stars as Victor Winterthorne. He produced the dramatic web series with wife Barbara Caruso and Steve Silverman. The series will air in four parts. Tune into the “Winterthorne” website at 3 p.m. PST/6 p.m. EST on August 27 and follow the adventure from the very beginning.
Will you be watching “Winterthorne” tomorrow? The cast is amazing, the scenery is beautiful, and the hair, make-up and wardrobe are perfection. Don’t miss it! If you do you’ll be sorry!
