'The Young & The Restless' (Y&R) News: Scott Elrod Lands Role On "How to Get Away with Murder"

“Young and the Restless” will be sharing one of their handsome hunks with the ABC prime time hit TV show, “How to Get Away with Murder.”  Scott Elrod who plays Joe Clark on “Y&R” will  appearance on only one episode and will not affect his position in the CBS daytime drama. Since it is a very small role, he will be able to do both roles at the same time. Are you excited to see Scott Elrod in a prime-time role?

Scott told Soap Opera Digest on Sept. 10 that prime-time shows moved much slower than he was used to in daytime TV. He noted that he was on set all day long, and they barely got through half the first page of a five-page script. He compared it to “Y&R,” and said that daytime TV moved super-fast. He said that they could often tape a whole episode a day. He said, “A lot of the time on the ABC set he was standing around waiting for his scenes to be filmed. I felt like saying really guys?”

Scott Elrod portrays the handsome business savvy Joe Clark. He once was married to Avery Clark (Jessica Collins). He teamed up with Victor for a business district deal that went south last year- threatening to take the coffee house out of business. Many fans suspect he may have a connection to Ian Ward (Ray Wise) and could be the controlling partner in the Paragon Project. Head scribe, Chuck Pratt promised fans that they would see much more of the dashing Joe Clark in the coming months. Are you glad Scott Elrod is back on “Y&R”?
