‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers Thursday, October 8: Sage Meets Son, Baby In Crisis – Billy Questioned About Shooting – Michael Represents Adam

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, October 8, tease that Sage (Kelly Sullivan) will get a chance to meet her baby boy. Meanwhile, Adam (Justin Hartley) will get a little help from Michael (Christian LeBlanc). Billy (Burgess Jenkins) will also have to answer some tough questions about his actions after Delia’s (Sophie Pollono) death.

At the hospital, Sage wakes up to see Nick (Joshua Morrow), who says their son is beautiful. Sage tries to explain that she only kept secrets because she was so afraid of losing their family. Nick wants her to calm down, but Sage is still concerned about getting arrested. Once Nick offers reassurance, he steps outside with the doctor. He tells Nick that it would be best for Sage to meet her baby now. They’re not sure he’s going to make it. Sage and Nick head to the NICU to see their child. They choose the name Christian Andrew Newman and hold hands as they gaze at him.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Adam’s about to have quite a few visitors. Jack (Peter Bergman) stops by to see Adam, who was recently arrested. Adam insists that he wasn’t trying to hurt Jack with the Paragon Project. It was only about bringing down Victor (Eric Braeden). Adam laments the fact that he’s hurt everyone he loves, including Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). At Crimson Lights, Michael tells Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) that Adam is planning on defending himself. Lauren worries that Michael feels the need to intervene. Michael admits that he thinks Adam should have representation. Lauren hopes that Adam will turn down Michael’s offer.

When Michael shows up, Jack urges Adam to accept Michael’s help. Adam tells Michael he doesn’t need representation because he’s going to plead guilty. Michael replies that Adam has to do this right. Adam agrees, but wants a favor. Michael hands him his phone and Adam makes a heartfelt call to Chelsea. Adam apologizes for everything and tells Chelsea to just pretend he died in the crash. Adam adds that he just wants Chelsea to move on.

Paul (Doug Davidson) and Christine (Laralee Bell) ask Adam about what happened with Delia. Adam spills the whole story and says he should have come clean sooner. Paul pulls out the gun Billy used on Adam and hints that they know it discharged. Adam says he tried to grab it and it went off. According to Adam, Billy isn’t to blame and shouldn’t be punished. Meanwhile, Billy will chat with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) about his struggle to start over now that he knows Adam is alive. Victoria wonders if they should get out of Genoa City for a while.

Later, Paul asks Billy some questions to see if his story matches up with Adam’s. Billy states that they struggled for the gun and it discharged in the process. However, Billy confesses that he wanted Adam dead. Paul says he’s free to go for now, but he should stay in town. Since Billy can’t go away with Victoria, she suggests that he should move back in and he happily agrees.

At Chelsea’s penthouse, Abby (Melissa Ordway) feels duped by Adam as well. Abby says Gabriel (Justin Hartley) fooled her into thinking she was qualified to be COO. At Newman Enterprises, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) tells Victor that he wants to kill Adam after everything he put Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) through. Kevin urges Victor to use any leverage he has to get Adam to cooperate. They’ll need all the help they can get to shut down the Paragon Project. Abby appears and asks Victor to give Chelsea control of her fashion line again. Victor approves of Abby’s idea and heads off to see Adam.

Back at Chelsea’s place, Jack pops in and mentions that Billy is being questioned by the police. Jack suddenly gets a text with the news that Billy isn’t being held. Chelsea guesses Adam did something right for once in his life. Chelsea insists she’ll never be free from Adam. Similarly, Adam will never be free from his guilt over Delia’s death. Y&R rumors hint that Adam and Chelsea could find their way back to each other eventually, but they’ve certainly got a long road ahead of them. Stick with the CBS soap for updates on all the drama.
