‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers: Phyllis is Back – Furious With Fred, Determined To Get Answer

“The Young and the Restless” is heating up just in time for November sweeps. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Jack (Peter Bergman) are highly suspicious of Fred’s (Ian, Ray Wise) intentions. Phyllis enjoyed his company but found it to be a little too convenient that he disappeared in the way he did. Will Jack be able to recognize his voice? Will Phyllis figure out that he is the infamous Ian Ward?

Jack called Fred to discuss why he canceled their dinner plans at the last minute. He told him that Phyllis was looking forward to seeing him, and he wanted to meet him in person. Fred (or eh Ian) told him that he heard of a hot fishing area, so he had to rush to catch the fish. Jack wasn’t buying it. He told Phyllis there was something off about his story. And, that’s not all- he told her his voice sounded very familiar. It won’t take long for Jack to figure out that Fred is really Ian Ward.

Jack wondered if Fred canceled for a more sinister reason- could Fred be one of Marco’s (Peter Bergman) spies. The thought of that made Phyllis’ skin crawl. Here, she thought they were rid of Marco- and there is a stranger who COULD be working with him or worse Marco could have sent Fred to get close to her, again. Jack declared that he will get to the bottom of it and discover who Fred is- and if Marco is his co-conspirator.

Phyllis tried to call Fred right after Jack spoke to him on the phone. The number was disconnected. Phyllis was livid. Did he fool her? Is it possible he was trying to get close to her in order to take over Jack’s life again? She says she will find him and get answers. Fans know that as of now; Ian is not connected to Marco. Of course, TPTB can change that at any point. Ian Ward has his own secret- he terrorized Genoa City, including sexual advances to Phyllis ‘teenage daughter.

Ian Ward is connected to the Paragon project. It seems like he was brought into the storyline so Adam can walk out a hero- and redeem himself to Genoa City. Will Jack discover that Fred is Ian Ward? Is he connected to Marco Annicelli?
