“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, October 23, tease that the jury will come back with a guilty verdict. Several Genoa City residents will take the stand to state their views on what Adam’s (Justin Hartley) sentence should be. Meanwhile, the evidence will pile up against Cane (Daniel Goddard) as Joe (Scott Elrod) makes his move with Lily (Christel Khalil). Across town, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will encourage Billy (Burgess Jenkins) to stop blaming himself for Delia’s (Sophie Pollono) death.
At the courthouse, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) tells Adam that she loves him no matter what happens. Adam thanks Billy for forgiving him. Billy insists he did it for himself and for Delia. The verdict is read and Adam is found guilty. Michael (Christian LeBlanc) lets Adam know that his sentence will be up to the judge. Kevin (Greg Rikaart) is pleased that Adam has been convicted, but he doesn’t understand why Billy isn’t trying to help put Adam away for good.
Kevin decides to take the stand so he can speak out against Adam. After Kevin says Adam should be punished to the full extent of the law, Jack (Peter Bergman) takes his turn. Jack notes that Billy forgave Adam and everyone else should, too. Victor (Eric Braeden) says that Adam stepped up and took responsibility for his actions. Adam certainly didn’t intend to kill Delia. Esther’s (Kate Linder) next and she makes it clear that she wants the book thrown at Adam. Finally, Chelsea pleads for the judge to have mercy on her husband.
Adam hints that he understands the guilty verdict and he’s sorry for all the sorrow he’s caused. However, Adam just wants the chance to be there for his family. Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) has two parents who love him unconditionally. Adam hopes to give his son what he never had growing up. The judge exits to mull over everything he’s heard.
Kevin rants at Michael for being on the wrong side of all this, but Michael suggests that holding grudges won’t bring Delia back. Chelsea seems nervous as she tells Adam she wants him to come home with her. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) pipes up that Adam should pay for his crimes. When the judge returns, he sentences Adam to 10 years in prison. Kevin thinks that’s not even close to enough. Adam leaves the courtroom and steps outside to be transported to prison. Suddenly, a car zooms by and deliberately hits him.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers say suspicions will continue to swirl around Cane. Paul (Doug Davidson) arrives at Cane’s home with the news that he’s got a search warrant. Devon (Bryton James) makes sure they have a warrant to search Cane’s locker as well. Cane is frustrated and maintains his innocence. Lily and Neil (Kristoff St. John) insist that they’re going to help Cane get off the hook.
Joe asks Dylan (Steve Burton) about the warrant, but Dylan says he should butt out. Lily is supporting her husband through this and Joe needs to leave them alone. Joe snaps back that Dylan doesn’t have the right to tell him what he can or can’t do. Later, Devon tracks down Cane and wants him to confess. The police found what appears to be the hoodie used in the ransom pickup. They also have surveillance footage that shows Cane going to his locker with something tucked under his arm. Cane walked away empty-handed in the video.

Lily starts asking questions and Cane believes she’s having doubts again. Devon pushes Cane to admit that he’s guilty. They almost get into a physical altercation, but Dylan breaks them up. Cane storms out and begins packing at home. Neil stops by and wonders what Cane’s doing. Cane says he’s leaving town because even Lily doesn’t believe him now. Meanwhile, Joe approaches Lily and asks if she could use a friend. Y&R rumors hint that sleazy Joe is up to something.
At the park, Billy says Delia can rest now since Adam was found guilty. Victoria notes that Billy has forgiven Adam, but he still needs to forgive himself. Billy replies that he can’t because it was his fault. Billy says he should’ve protected Delia. Victoria reminds Billy that managed to come up with the strength to bury his daughter. Now Billy needs to bury his guilt. They share a hug and moments later, Billy hears Delia say she loves him. Stick with the CBS soap for updates on Billy’s attempt to let go of his guilt.
