“The Young and the Restless” released a promo video that teased that there would be danger looming for Genoa City residents. The video, titled “Danger in Disguise,” revealed clips of what’s ahead next week on the show. Apparently, there will be a fire which turns into a massive explosion on the top of Newman Towers. Head scribe, Chuck Pratt, Jr. teased four characters will not make it out alive, including one well-loved contract character. Fans are anxiously awaiting to see which one of their favorite actors will be written off the show.
The video opens with a costume gala benefit to honor Delia Abbott [Sophie Pollono]. Someone dressed in a devil costume starts a fire and sets the wheels in motion for a destructive revenge plan. Stitch [Sean Carrigan] announces to the party that there’s a fire in the building, and everyone needs to work together so everyone gets out safely. Nick Newman [Joshua Morrow] panics stating, “My family is up there [ referring to the top-floor].”
The fire turns to an explosion appearing to knock Stitch out, temporarily. Stitch and Ashley [Eileen Davidson] become trapped with each other- and must work together in order to make it out alive. They both know they can’t die- for Abby’s [Melissa Ordway] sake. There’s no way Abby would be able to handle losing her fiancée and her mother in one terrifying swoop.
Chelsea [Melissa Claire Egan] franticly calls Adam Newman [Justin Hartley] to let him know there is a fire at the Halloween Gala. Of course, he comes to her rescue, calling out to her – desperately looking for her. Someone hits him and drags his body into a room. It looks like the fire could have been a way to bring Adam there to finally do him in.
Sometimes these promo videos can be misleading, and they mix up the order of events. One thing that is certain- there’s a dangerous guest who has a mission of wreak havoc on the Newman family, particularly Adam Newman. The danger begins on October 30, and continues next week on “The Young and the Restless.”
