‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) POLL: Phyllis Blindsided by Jack’s Secret About Gabe – Will Adam Newman Reveal Break Them Up?

“Young and the Restless” spoilers hint that Adam’s (Justin Hartley) reveal won’t just affect the Newman family, but the Abbott family as well. For starters, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will feel blindsided by the news that Gabriel Bingham and Adam Newman is the same person. How will Jack (Peter Bergman) explain (talk his way out of) the aftermath of Adam Newman’s reveal?

Phyllis believes that Gabriel Bingham is trouble, and she is partly right. When Jack announced that he was going to work with Gabriel once more, Phyllis was shocked. She couldn’t believe he would put himself out there for Gabe again. The truth is Phyllis doesn’t understand his connection to Gabriel (Adam). When she finds out he is Adam; she will understand why Jack protects him.

Phyllis will be the least of his worries when Genoa City learns Adam is alive. There’s no question that Billy will be the angriest person to learn the truth about Gabriel’s identity. Billy (Burgess Jenkins) will be angry when he finds out Jack’s role in concealing Adam’s identity for over a year. Jack wanted to tell Billy at one point until he showed Jack the bullet wound, he suffered when Billy shot him. Jack remained a true friend to him, helping to secure him a job and kept him close to his son and wife, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan).

Jack told Phyllis when they were reunited after the Marco (Peter Bergman) ordeal, there would be no more secrets. Yet, not even a month later, and he is back to his old tricks of hiding information from his wife. He hasn’t revealed that Adam is alive, and he could possibly be after Victor. How is it that Adam isn’t his prime suspect in the Paragon Project?

The aftermath of the Adam reveal during November sweeps will be catastrophic. From Billy to Adam to Phyllis- everyone will be shocked to learn that presumed dead Adam Newman is alive and living among them as Gabriel Bingham. If done correctly (which is highly unlikely with our writers) the reveal could go down into soap history. Do you think Phyllis will be shocked to learn that the delicious, yet evil Gabriel Bingham’s true identity is Adam Newman? How will Victor react when he learns his son is alive? Will Billy try to kill him, again?
