‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Poll: Adam Promised Chelsea No More Secrets – Can Their Love Survive His Latest Betrayal?

“Young and the Restless” spoilers are in; Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) is up to his old shenanigans- and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will be furious when she finds out. Not only is he baiting his father, Victor (Eric Braeden) in a visitation ploy with Connor- but he is trying to take down Newman Enterprises. Will Chelsea forgive him for his newest scheme?

Adam promised Chelsea they will not have any more secrets. In Paris, he told her no secrets, and they will have a full disclosure between them. Not even one week later, he is hiding information from her. He lied to her and told her he was meeting a realtor when he was going to break into his father’s office to steal files from the Newman computer mainframe. If that’s not bad enough- it looks like he is working with Ian Ward (Ray Wise).

Chelsea was hesitant to become a family with Adam again- after his obsession with seeking revenge against his father, Victor. She knows that eventually he will seek revenge and his need to get even will destroy the whole family. She has fought to keep Connor safe from the Newman family now she has to keep him protected from his own father’s need for revenge against his grandfather?

No one is denying that Victor doesn’t care for his grandchildren. Victor does care about winning more than anyone’s feelings- including his wife, children or grandchildren. Adam is much like his father in that respect. He loves Chelsea and Connor; however, he believes that even if he messes up, she will be in his corner. How would Chelsea feel if Adam schemed and scammed Victor into losing his company?

Chelsea is not going to be happy with the fact that Adam is lying to her. How would Chelsea have reacted if Adam told her he had to go so he could break into his father’s office and let his business crooks to steal information from the computer remotely? She would have told him it was a terrible idea and refused to let him go.

It’s not hard to see that Adam is throwing away his chances at true happiness with Chelsea. She may have a troubled past, but now she is trying to live her life as honestly as possible. She doesn’t want Adam destroying his family’s business- a business that has helped her maintain her posh lifestyle in the last year, all in the name of a lifelong revenge plan against his estranged father.

Adam and Chelsea’s life is about to come crashing down. Adam’s identity will be revealed in the coming weeks. And if that isn’t stressful enough for the happy couple; he is mixed up with the shenanigans with Ian Ward- who will stop at nothing to bring Victor Newman down for good. How will Chelsea handle the mess that Adam got her into this time? Will she forgive him- yet again?
