Christian stated a few weeks ago that ever since it was written that Michael would develop cancer he wanted to give back to cancer research. He went on to say that he wanted to remove the stigma about having prostate cancer, urging men to get screened for the disease.
He was the only soap actor from the show that participated, but it was a cause all the stars felt strong about. “Y&R” cast members gave Christian their full support by posting pictures wearing the blue Nola T-shirts. He noted on his Periscope right before the race that he appreciated everyone who supported the case. He urged anyone in New Orleans to go to the Nola Doo Run and watch him. Later, he posted pictures of the event, sporting his blue shirt and a bright blue wig.
He revealed that he would be doing a Walk 4 AIDS event on September 26. He said Sean Carrigan (Stitch) will participate with him. In October, he will head to Montreal, Canada with his mother for a benefit for Autism research. He said it is a cause dear to his mother’s heart. Someone replied they had a child with autism. He said, “God bless you. Taking care of someone with severe autism is God’s work.”
