'The Young and the Restless' (Y&R) News: Chris McKenna Confirms Harding is NOT Returning To YRChris McKenna took to his Twitter account to let his fans know that he is officially off the show at “Young and the Restless.” Fans had hoped they would bring him back or reveal it was a dream sequence. It looks like that is not happening with his character. Det. Harding is dead, and the show has no plans to revisit any twin twist storyline.

Rumor swirled for almost a week now that Harding may have a twin twist. There was a scene when Paul (Doug Davidson) called him about the cabin murder case. He told Paul that he was going to go fishing with his brother, but he will tell him he needed to work instead. Since that scene, fans were positive that he had a brother- a twin- and the brother were the dirty cop. They felt it was the perfect way to redeem Harding. Fans didn’t want to let go of a possible Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Harding pairing.

Who can forget the kiss Det. Harding and Abby Newman shared on New Year’s Eve? It left the fans talking for months. It was evident the kiss should have led to at least a few dates. The show missed the mark on that one. Abby and Det. Harding would have made a great couple- possibly even a super couple.

It looks like fans are going to have to come to grips with the reality that Chris McKenna left the CBS daytime drama. He will land another role in no time. Do you miss Det. Harding on “Y&R”? Do you believe he was the sole killer in the cabin murders? Soap Opera Spy will keep an eye out and let you know the minute he lands a new role.
