‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) Interview: Terrell Tilford Discusses Storylines On Switched At Birth

“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) has confirmed that Terrell Tilford (Dr. Barton Shelby) is returning to Genoa City. And now he’s dishing about his role on the ABC Family show “Switched at Birth.” He portrays Eric Bishop – the guy who swept single mom Regina Vasquez (Constance Marie) off her feet.

Terrell isn’t sure what will happen to Eric – the final two episodes of the season will air on Monday, October 19 and Monday, October 26 at 8 pm EST. Tilford say that his lady love Regina will be forced decide how important their relationship is – and just how far she’s willing to go to support her man. In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest Terrell Tilford revealed, “[Regina and Eric] legitimately love one another and it’s a tough decision when she is face with the truth [about Eric’s past].”

Eric Bishop is somewhat shrouded in mystery on “Switched at Birth.” “There’s quite a bit more to Eric than he’s willing to let on.” As a matter of fact, Regina has done some digging and found out that Eric has a son Will who was kidnapped by his estranged wife for “very noble reasons.” Sounds like Eric is trouble – with a side of trouble!

And if Tilford wasn’t busy enough with “Y&R” and “Switched at Birth” he’ll also be on the Monday, October 19 episode of ABC’s “Castle” – he’ll portray an art curator. And did you know outside of acting Terrell owns an art gallery? He manages all the aspects of his professional career with marriage – his wife is Victoria Gabrielle Platt (ex-Vicky, Guiding Light) – and being a dad to 13-month-old Marley.

Terrell Tilford is a very, very busy man – but he’ll always make time for “Y&R” and Dr. Barton Shelby. And while fans wait for the good doctor to arrive back in Genoa City check out Monday’s episode of “Castle” and the final two episodes of the “Switched at Birth” season on ABC Family.
