Good news for “Young and the Restless” fans, Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) returns to Genoa City on Sept. 21, Soap Opera Digest reported on Friday. Haiduk noted that Patty is in a better place than she was three years ago, but she is unpredictable and there’s no telling how far she will go if backed into a corner. Are you excited about Patty’s return?
Haiduk recalled the moment her agent emailed her about another stint on “Y&R.” She said it only took her a millisecond to reply to her agent with a big fat yes. She said she is always open to portraying Patty. She spoke about loving the whole working environment at CBS.
She said that Patty was last seen at Fairview. Paul gave her a cat, and she thought she may stay there forever. It seems the writers have a bigger plan for her, creating a storyline for her- once again. She noted that Patty never meant to hurt anyone, it just happens. Patty is guilty of letting the wrong people manipulate her, and she hopes this time it doesn’t happen.
Haiduk said that she had started filming for her reoccurring role. She started filming last week. In fact, fans will see Patty on the show in less than three weeks. She was happy to come back to her former co-workers- especially her on-screen brother, Paul Williams (Doug Davidson.) She said he was thrilled to see her and commented that he was the last to hear about her return. She said there are many new faces on the set, and she cannot wait to get to know all of them.
It is rumored that Patty will have a run-in with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) while in Fairview. They will bond, and Patty will help Sharon with an issue she is facing. Right now, Sharon is struggling with the news about her recent miscarriage and believes that she will conceive a replacement child right away. It was speculated that Sharon could end up being Patty’s roommate in the mental institution. Fans are excited to learn the details surrounding Patty’s return to Genoa City, but they will have to wait until her first air date. No details about her storyline are available.
Are you excited about Patty’s return? Do you believe the rumors that Patty will assist Sharon in her baby snatching idea? Tune in to “Young and the Restless” on Sept. 21 for Patty Williams return to the show.
