‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) Interview: Melissa Claire Egan Dishes On Love Scenes With Justin Hartley

“The Young and the Restless” fan favorite Melissa Claire Egan shares her secret to steamy hot love scenes on air with Justin Hartley on the hit CBS soap opera, reported by Soap Opera Digest. She notes her secret is her husband’s support in her career and advising Justin Hartley on what she likes or doesn’t. Melissa’s husband, Matt Katrosar tries to help make her job as easy as possible.

Melissa claims that Matt is very invested in her daytime career- and watches EVERY scene, including her love scenes with Justin Hartley [Adam]. “Matt watches all my scenes, even the love scenes. It’s nice that he’s supportive, but he takes notes. After he watched my first love scene with Justin last year, Matt called him and gave him about eight things he did that I don’t like. So, this is the reason Justin and my scenes are never awkward- we are too busy laughing about Matt’s meddling in the love scenes, “Melissa said.

Melissa goes on to say that her supportive husband also tried to help her run lines a few times, and it wasn’t as successful. “Matt’s a smart guy and is great at what he does at his job. He is NOT an actor. He’s extremely loud, and it is very distracting to me when I am trying to learn my lines,” Melissa said while laughing. She said, “I had to tell him, Babe, can you do it lighter?” and then he started to whisper.   Egan joked that she had to give up on reading lines at home, so she can skip Matt trying to help her learn her lines.
