‘The Young and the Restless’ Star Eileen Davidson Pays Tribute To Her Father-in-Law Dick Van Patten-Thanks Fans For Condolences

Yesterday we reported the sad news that “The Young and the Restless” star Eileen Davidson’s father-in-law Dick Van Patten passed away after a long battle with diabetes. Today Eileen took to twitter to pay tribute to the late “Eight is Enough” star and to thank all her fans for their condolences. She tweeted, “Thank u for all the condolences about Dick Van Patten. What a wonderful loving hilarious humble talented man. I will love him forever.”

Eileen also tweet a photo of Dick and his wife Patricia Poole on their anniversary. The couple who were married in 1954 had three sons: Vincent Van Patten, Nels Van Patten, and Jimmy Van Patten.

In 1985 Dick was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. After news of his death was released flowers were placed on his star.
