‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers Tuesday October 20: Victor Defends Adam, Chelsea Doubts The Moustache – Billy Fears Judge Bribed – Devon Outraged At Lily

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Tuesday, October 20, tease that Lily (Christel Khalil) will struggle with whether or not to believe Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) story. Devon (Bryton James) will be outraged when Lily posts Cane’s bail. Meanwhile, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will worry about Billy’s (Burgess Jenkins) desire for vengeance. Later, Billy and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will wonder if Adam (Justin Hartley) will make a break for it.

At the athletic club, Victoria warns Billy that he shouldn’t get his hopes up about Adam’s trial. Victoria hints that Billy might not get the verdict he wants. Billy asks if Victoria is keeping secrets from him. Has Victor (Eric Braeden) paid off the judge? Victoria thinks it’s ridiculous that Billy assumes she’s hiding inside Newman info. Victoria is concerned that Billy’s obsession with revenge will eat him alive. Victoria says she knows that Billy can’t forgive Adam, but he needs to accept the events that led to Delia’s (Sophie Pollono) death.

Christine (Laralee Bell) and Paul (Doug Davidson) arrive at the club. They remind Billy that his anger could help Adam get off at his trial. Billy insists he can keep it in check on the stand, but he wants to chat with Chelsea about her plans to help Adam. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor discuss Adam nearby. Victor is bothered by Adam’s plot to bring down his company, but he says Adam is still his son at the end of the day.

Victoria comes over and joins in the conversation. They consider Delia’s death and Victor pipes up that Adam didn’t see her. Adam didn’t murder anyone. Talk turns to Victor telling Nick (Joshua Morrow) he would be the one to run everything someday. Victoria says it helped her understand how snubbed Adam has always felt. Victor apologizes and lets Victoria know that he loves her.

Lily posts Cane’s bail at the station and questions him about what the police suspect. They think Cane needed Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) ransom money because of the deal that went south at Fenmore’s. Cane is appalled that Lily doesn’t trust him and points out that he trusts her in spite of her hookup with Joe (Scott Elrod). At The Dive Bar, Devon gives Neil (Kristoff St. John) updates on Cane’s suspected involvement in the ransom.

When Devon learns that Lily posted Cane’s bail, he heads to the police station to see Paul. Paul reminds Devon that they think this was about scoring cash and not Hilary’s actual kidnapping. Paul adds that Devon needs to steer clear of Cane, but he doesn’t listen. Devon confronts Cane and they cause a big scene. Neil intervenes and sends Devon away to cool off. Neil takes Cane aside and they ponder the setup. It’s a very elaborate scheme and there has to be a bigger motive in play. Elsewhere, Devon asks Lily why she got Cane out of jail. Lily replies that Cane is her husband and she’s not sure he’s guilty.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers indicate that Adam’s trial is set for later this week. At Chelsea’s penthouse, Adam tells her about Victor’s offer to help him get out of the country. Chelsea doesn’t think Adam can trust Victor, but Adam wants a fresh start. Chelsea argues their night together was simply a goodbye. Billy shows up and thinks Adam is trying to convince Chelsea to help him on the stand. Billy tells Chelsea not to fall for Adam’s lies again. Afterwards, Adam and Chelsea prepare for court. Chelsea urges Adam to stay in town. If Adam goes on the run, Chelsea won’t be able to defend him.

Billy heads to the courthouse and delivers the news of Chelsea’s night with Adam to Paul, Christine and Victoria. They wonder where Michael (Christian LeBlanc) is and debate whether Adam will even show up. Victor and Nikki walk in. Billy declares that if Adam ran, Victor is the one to blame. Chelsea arrives and suggests that Billy might be right. Adam could make all of this much worse if he takes Victor up on his offer. Fortunately, it looks like Adam will decide to face the music. Y&R rumors hint that Adam’s trial will cause quite a stir. Stick with CBS soap to see what Adam’s verdict will be.
