‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers: The Verdict Is In – Adam’s Shocking Sentence Revealed!

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers tease that Adam Newman’s [Justin Hartley] verdict and sentencing results are in, and it was a shocker. Imagine the fans shock when they learned fan favorite, Adam will spend ten years in prison for accidentally striking Delia Abbott with his car. The reaction from the courtroom told the whole story, the room was full of emotion, tension, and disbelief.

Many felt Adam deserved more time. He was given the sentence of ten years. Kevin [Greg Rikaart] couldn’t believe that he only received ten years for ‘killing’ a child. Billy [Burgess Jenkins] refused to speak at the sentencing portion of the trial. Chloe [Elizabeth Hendrickson] was not present during the trial.

His sentence seemed unfair considering the evidence. The only evidence they had tying Adam to the crime was his confessional video. He recorded it after he found Delia’s scarf in his car axle. He believed he had to hit her even though he didn’t recall an impact or hitting anything. He remembered getting out of the car, looking outside, and he didn’t see anything but a small dog [Dash].

The whole town insisted that Adam killed Delia. They act as if he went out of his way to hunt her down and run her over. It was a terrible tragic accent- nothing more and nothing less. Should he be criminally responsible for an accident? It seems unusually cruel to sentence a man ten years for ab accident.

In the real world, Billy would have faced child endangerment charges, and Adam may never have been arrested. He surely wouldn’t have been sentenced ten years in jail. Adam is a front and center character; there is no way that he will be off the show. In fact, there rumor is he just signed a two-year contract extension with “The Young and the Restless.”

At the end of the show, they take him immediately to the state prison. Is it possible that something happens and delays his arrival to jail? Spoilers hint he gets hurt, and it delays his arrival to prison and could cost him his life. Will Victor [Eric Braeden] come to his son’s defense and find out who hurt him?
