‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Nick Reacts to Adam Newman Reveal – Animosity Between Brothers Goes Wild?

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that the rest of Genoa City will soon find out that Gabriel Bingham [Justin Hartley] is Adam Newman. Once the residents of GC find out that Adam Newman is still alive it will send a shock wave through the town. For the most part Adam was one of the most hated man in town.
One of the people who will be most affected is Adam’s brother Nick Newman. [Joshua Morrow] Adam and Nick already had a contentious relationship before Adam disappeared. As a matter of fact Nick despised Adam. Who wouldn’t hate their brother after the things Adam did. Adam kidnapped Sharon [Sharon Case] and Nick’s daughter Faith, passed it off as Ashley’s daughter and told the couple their daughter was dead. Pretty cold right?
However, with Justin Hartley taking on the role of Adam – we seem to be seeing a softer side of him. Will TPTB at “YR” decided to change history? Joshua Morrow who plays Nick on the Daytime Soap told Soaps In Depth, “If the new writing team takes liberties with the fact that Nick hates Adam so much, I’d be upset. They are mortal enemies.”
If Joshua is speaking to the press and saying he would be uncomfortable with white washing his difficult past with his brother Adam then common sense tells us there will be trouble between Nick and Adam. It is unlikely that Joshua would give an interview saying he would have trouble with a storyline that was in production-in other words if “Y&R” were going to have Adam and Nick become best buddies over night then SOS doesn’t think Joshua would be saying otherwise.
Given that Adam has helped frame Victor for shooting Jack, stolen his company, hidden his identity from his dear brother and the entire town of Genoa City amongst other things we can expect the animosity between brothers to increase rather than abate. It will be a long hard road that Adam Newman faces as Gabriel’s true identity becomes known.

Let us hope that these writers don’t try to soften him too much. We all know that these two hate each other and when Nick finds out that Gabe is Adam he is going straight to Sage for answers. He is going to want to know what, when where and how she got involved with Adam and he being Saint Nick will be hard put to get past the fact that she has been lying to him since the day they met. We all know how Nick is about lies and betrayal! He doesn’t do them at all ever with anyone. He has been known to hold a grudge for a long time. (not the most forgiving person on the planet for sure) I hope that once it all comes out we know finally and for sure if Adam really did hit and kill Delia or if someone else did and he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He has always thought that he did but who knows. It is Chuck Pratts show now and we could be watching Vampires next month. Adams biggest mistake was not telling the truth from jump street.
Nick will explode when he discovers brother Adam alive. Sage’s tummy won’t be large enough to hide behind when Nick wants explanations about her helping Adam and not telling Nick all this time. Here goes another baby mama that won’t be allowed to keep her Newman baby. Now Saint Chelsea will get her way and see Adam behind bars. She will be able to cry herself to sleep knowing he did the right thing! But she’s the one free !
