‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, August 31: Jack Resigns, Phyllis Upset – Victor Threatens Marisa – Sage Wants Adam Gone

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday August 31, 2015 reveals that Sage (Kelly Sullivan) is thrilled to be part of the Newman family and thinks they are adorable.  Adam (Justin Hartley) warns Sage that there is only one thing Victor (Eric Braeden) wants from her and that is her baby.  Meanwhile, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is ready to go back to Paris and leave everything but Adam convinces her to stay in Genoa City for a few days more.

The Monday August 31, 2015 episode of “Y&R” opens with Ashley (Eileen Davidson) shocked Jack (Peter Bergman) is offering her CO-CEO she is thinking it is just another one of his whims like the merger. Jack asks her why she is not happy. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) comes over and wonders why they are arguing. Phyllis tells Jack she is NOT a piece he can shove around on his chess game. Ashely tells him thanks but no thanks for the offer.

Victor tells Chelsea she signed a non-compete clause and he owns Chelsea Lawson. Adam says he is going to get the contract picked apart by his lawyers. Victor tells Chelsea he is pleased if she stays on but a move to Paris is out of the question.

The Newmans welcome Sage to the family with a party at The Dive Bar and Sage gets all choked up.

Devon, (Bryton James) Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Michael (Christian LeBlanc) are back in Genoa City and they come into The Athletic Club. Devon is freaking he thinks Hilary (Mishael Morgan) needs him and Neil comes up to him and hugs him. Devon tells everyone he is home because he wants to put a team together to find Hilary.

Billy (Burgess Jenkins) congratulates Sage. They bring a cake in for Sage and Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Nikki walks in. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) makes a few comments about the fact she was not invited to the wedding and then tells them she is messing with them and joking.

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) asks Billy if she remembers their wedding. Billy makes a bunch of nasty remarks about how Victor ruined everything. They start fighting about Chelsea and her line. Billy calls Victor Godzilla with a moustache. Victoria tells Billy he is being a jerk and storms off.

Victor tells Adam, Chelsea and her company are valuable but Adam is valuable to no one. Chelsea is pissed she tells Victor he does not tell her what to do and she is not for sale. Chelsea storms out.

Victor tells Adam that he is surprised Chelsea would give everything up him. Victor asks if Gabriel (Adam) would give everything up for Chelsea.

Jack is trying to convince Ashley to take the CO-CEO. Ashley tells him she has questions first and asks Jack why he dissolved the merger and why is sure Annicelli is gone. Jack tells Ashley she knows as much as he does about Annicelli and ending the merger was a no brainer. Jack sees Devon and tells Ashley he has to go see him.

Jack gives Devon his support and tells him Hilary will fight her way back to him. Michael comes over and tells them the blood on Hilary’s show was Hilary’s blood and Devon is going to be extradited and charged with murder

Phyllis is trying to reason with Ashley with no success Jack comes over and says Ashley is right and she needs to be the CEO of Jabot and not CO-CEO.

Abby asks Stitch what part of his life helped him be able to deal with her family.

Nick thanks Mariah for her help in putting together the party and he realizes she is upset and asks her if she understands about his wedding and why she was not invited. Mariah says she understands she is not family. Nick tells her he is glad she is in GC and she is good for Sharon.

Victor comes in to the party Nikki asks how it went and Victor says Chelsea knows he has her best interest at heart. Victor congratulates Sage and tells her he is thrilled about his future grandchild. Sage throws the bouquet and Chelsea catches it as she walks in with Adam.

Lily asks Michael why Devon should go back to the Island. Neil tells Devon he should not go back to the Island because he may end up in jail. Michael tells them Devon may fight extradition but he may be taken anyway. Neil says his son is not getting on a plane. Devon feels the universe is paying him back for taking his father’s wife.

Ashley cannot believe how fast Jack has decided to give her the CEO of Jabot. Jack tells Ashley she can run Jabot without letting Victor get to her. Ashley tells Jack she cannot imagine Jabot without him but she has to say YES. Ashley tells him she has questions and suspicions but SHE ACCEPTS. Phyllis does not look pleased.

Adam and Chelsea are surprised they walked in on the wedding party they are going to leave. Sage asks them to stay and help them celebrate. Noah makes a toast.

Chelsea tells Billy Victor is insisting she is stay in GC. Billy tells her to tell Victor to get lost. Victor comes over and Billy leaves.

Chelsea tells Victor now that he is getting a new grandchild maybe he can give Connor a break. Chelsea reminds Victor Connor is her son. Victor tells her yes, but Connor will always be a Newman and Adam’s son.

Adam comes to speak to Sage he tells her it is nice to see her smile. Adam tells her he is happy for her but Newman miracles come with baggage. Adam warns her about Victor and how he is the biggest menace to her kid. Sage tells Adam, “I have an ideak why don’t you take the love of your life to Paris and stay there forever!”

Adam is shocked and he asks Sage what happened to their truce. Sage tells Adam she is happy and why doesn’t he go to Paris and be happy. Chelsea comes over and she wants to leave but Adam tells her Victor is not going to drive them out.

Kyle tells Summer he is in such a good mood his Dad is back, the merger is gone and they have survived Harding and outlasted Newman Jabot and right now nothing can touch them.

Victor comes over to where Marisa is and asks her how Noah would feel if he knew Marco her former lover caused his fiancé’s death. Victor tells Marisa he will send 500,000 to her account if she leaves. Victor tells Marisa in a couple of months she will be a faint memory to Noah. Noah comes over.

Ashley bumps into Billy and tells him Jack stepped down as CEO and put her in charge. Billy wants to toast and Ashley tells him she is suspicious.

Phyllis and Jack walk into Chancellor Park and he tells her now they can do more of this, relax and enjoy life. Phyllis is not buying it and asks him what is going on. Jack says that Phyllis has deserved the CEO position for a long time. Phyllis thinks he stepped away from Jabot to keep the secret about Marco, the merger from etc. from everyone. Jack says keeping track of secrets is difficult and he believes Ashley will do their Dad proud. Jack tells her he has made a lot of mistakes and he is not going to make them anymore. He wants to concentrate on his and Phyllis’ relationship.

Phyllis comes over to Abby and tells her she is sorry and tells Abby she is an adult and can make her own decisions. Ashley tells Abby to congratulate her she is now the new CEO of Jabot. Abby says she is the enemy now but Ashley says no with her in charge she does not think Jabot goal is only to fight with Newman. Abby is skeptical she does not think Victor will feel that way.

Noah asks Marisa what Victor was talking about and Noah is upset because he does not think Victor is okay with her as his girlfriend. Marisa changes the subject and tells him to forget about that and to eat cake.

Chelsea tells Adam she cannot believe she did not recognize him as Gabriel because the way he glares at Nick and Victor she is surprised they have not gone up in flames. Chelsea reminds Adam they are going back to Paris.

Nikki and Victor walk into the Athletic Club and she tells Victor she is surprised that Neil has his arm around Devon. She tells Victor she will feel better if he can verify that Neil was in Canada when he said.

Neil walks up to Victor and tells him he would like to take him up on the offer to help Devon.

Michael tells Devon he will be in touch he has a extradition to fight. Lily tells Devon no matter what happens they will keep looking for Hilary

Neil tells Victor they have no proof of any kind and they have Devon convicted. Victor tells him he is surprised because Neil thought him interfering with the investigation will bother the local authorities. Neil tells Victor they are fighting extradition. Neil begs Victor to pulls strings and keep Devon off the island.

Jack tells Phyllis that they beat a drug lord, they won and this is the their prize to be free. Phyllis tells him being with her 24/7 is hardly a life plan. Jack tells Phyllis she is perfect and Phyllis tells him he is ridiculous.

Billy comes over to see Victoria and speaks to her, she storms away she is mad.

Abby asks Stitch what he said to her Mom because she is shocked she got an apology she kisses him to thank him and Ashley walks in and sees them.

Sage and Nick comes to The Underground and Sage tells Victor his family is adorable and Nick tells her they are NOT adorable. Nick tells Sage he has one tradition and it is time to bust it out. He lowers the lights and tells her they have to have the bride and groom’s first dance.

Chelsea tells Adam she wants to grab Connor and go back to France. Adam says he needs a few more days in Genoa City. Chelsea says, “I knew it. Victor can have the clothing line, I don’t care. He can take burlap sacks and put my name on it I don’t care Adam.” Adam fights that Victor has NO right to destroy their dreams. Chelsea reminds Adam what their dreams. Adam tells her he needs a little more time. Chelsea agrees to give him a few days and THAT IS IT! Adam tells her that is all he needs.
