At the athletic club, Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) has a proposition for Marisa (Sofia Pernas). He wants her to come work for him. Victor can provide the office space. Marisa isn’t sure since Victor seems to hate her so much. Luca thinks it’ll be fine and they’ll make a good team. Besides, Luca needs someone he can trust at Newman Enterprises.
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) comes in The Underground and finds Noah (Robert Adamson) asleep in a booth. Noah wakes up and admits that Luca knows he called the feds. Victor and Marisa know, too. At Newman Enterprises, Victor suggests that Adam (Justin Hartley) did the right thing by agreeing to work at the company. Adam wouldn’t want Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) to hear any dirty little secrets. Victor is proud of Adam for his role in gaining control over the Abbotts. Adam thinks it was good that Victor took his advice. Adam adds that he’s worried about Victor being in business with the Santori family. They’re bad news and Victor needs to get out of their deal. Victor agrees to pay them off and be done with it. Later, Luca comes to request office space. He announces that Marisa will be his assistant.
Victor tries to give Luca a check for what the Santoris are owed plus interest. Luca insists that it doesn’t work like that. Once his family has invested money, they own part of the company. Luca returns the check to Victor and departs. Victor calls Luca’s father, but he doesn’t make any progress. It appears Victor may be stuck in this partnership for a while.
Noah comes to see Victor and says he didn’t spill anything to the FBI. Adam tells Noah that Newman Enterprises is trying to get out of business with the Santoris. He thinks Noah should be a liaison between the two families. Noah wants to do it and Victor decides to let him.
