‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Paul And Christine Work To Take Down Joe And Clear Cane’s Name

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers tease that Cane Ashby [Daniel Goddard] may get his way, and Joe Clark [Scott Elrod] could face charges for extortion and concocting a scheme to frame Cane. Cane brought Paul [Doug Davidson] the black hoodie he found in Joe’s safe, and as compelling the evidence is, Christine Williams [Lauralee Bell] told him he needed more concrete evidence that would hold up in a courtroom.

Christine said that she had always felt uneasy around the smooth taking businessman, but that doesn’t make him a criminal. She needs more evidence that will hold up in court. She tells Paul he should look into Joe’s story and press him harder for more evidence.

Cane feels betrayed by his wife, but he has no choice but to depend on her to get more evidence against Joe. At this point, Lily Winters [Christel Khalil] believes that Cane was framed after she helped him uncover key evidence against Joe.  Cane doesn’t feel he can trust Lily, but must rely on her to keep it friendly with Joe, in case he will reveal key information to her about setting Cane up.

Lily and Cane will have a hard road to getting their marriage on track. Lily cannot tell him this time that she was drunk or upset about their marriage. She willingly went with Joe to the police station and left with him, even after Cane told her not too. She made her choice and stood with Joe instead of Cane. It was a slap in the face for him.

If Cane is smart, he’d divorce her after his legal issues are settled. She’s proven twice now that she cannot resist Joe’s charm and has landed in his bed with him. She preaches forgiveness and moving on, but she refused to believe that Cane was telling the truth about being framed.

When the truth is revealed in this mess, Lily will look like a fool, and Cane will finally be free of her. The question remains, will they find evidence against Joe and clear Cane’s name? Will Cane forgive Lily, or are they headed for divorce court?
