At first, Sharon and Adam were awkward with each other; it had been a long time since they had seen each other. They shared a special relationship, and Adam is still very important to Sharon. She has learned to respect Chelsea, and keeps her distance from Adam.
Chelsea has let go of her jealousy of Adam and Sharon’s chemistry with each other. The real threat to Chelsea’s happiness is his father, Victor [Eric Braeden]. Chelsea realizes the one person that knows about the Newman curse more than anyone else is Sharon.
When Adam gets up to get more coffee, Chelsea wasted no time opening up to Sharon about Victor’s intrusion in her marriage. Chelsea explains to Sharon that she has to have faith that her husband knows what he is doing in trusting Victor again. Sharon picks up that Chelsea is nervous about trusting Victor with anything, especially her husband’s heart.
Sharon decides to tell Chelsea what she thinks about the situation with Victor. She reveals how she would handle it if Victor inserted himself in her marriage [again], and how she would keep her marriage together. Sharon revealed what she’d do in Chelsea’s shoes, and how she’d save her family from the Newman’s orbit. It’s up to Chelsea to influence Adam not to allow his father to lead him in a downward spiral of despair.
Can Chelsea prevent Adam from losing everything when Victor is done playing nice with him? Is it possible that Adam is planning to trick his father, and work with Jack [Peter Bergman] behind his back?
