‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers April 9: Gabe Loses Sage and Inheritance, Learns Connor’s Deathly Sick-Victor Plans Abbott Family Downfall

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for April 9, 2015 reveal Genoa City residents planning, plotting and reaching out in a Y&R episode that will delight all fans of the CBS soap. As Gabe/Adam loses Sage and his inheritance he learns that Connor is in grave danger while Jack and Phyllis make wedding plans Victor and his mysterious confederate plan to change the Abbott family hierarchy.

Summer [Hunter King] spent the night at Phyllis’ [Gina Tognoni] house. Although Phyllis and Jack have delayed their wedding Summer does not want Phyllis to wait to marry Jack [Peter Bergman]. But Phyllis insists it is okay she know Summer has been under a lot of stress. Summer does not want them to delay their happiness for her. Phyllis asks Summer if she is sure. Someone knocks on the door it is Nick. [Joshua Morrow]

Jack tells Kyle [Lachlan Buchanan] he has been a great friend to Summer. Jack wants to know what Kyle is planning to do with his life. Kyle tells him nothing and he has to figure it out on his own and does not need Jack’s help. Jack tells him their company is being threatened.

Leslie [Angell Conwell ] is going over Nikki’s [Melody Thomas Scott] testimony with her. Nikki tells Leslie Neil was upset she was taking him to an AA meeting. When Leslie asks Nikki how she would react if someone forced her to go to an AA meeting Victor interrupts and says, “That is IT Sweetheart not another word.”

Chelsea [Melissa Claire Egan] thanks her mom, Anita [Catherine Bach] for helping her move back in. Chelsea tells Anita she could have moved in sooner if it was not for Gabe. [Justin Hartley] Anita is confused.. Chelsea explains to Anita that Gabe/Adam has feelings for her and her Mom says, “seems like he has gotten under your skin.”

Gabe/Adam asks Sage [Kelly Sullivan] if she is avoiding him? Gabe/Adam is mad at Sage because she almost ruined everything with him and Chelsea. They are arguing and Mr. Tipton walks in and asks when they are going to admit the marriage is a sham.

They are both surprised to see Mr. Tipton and Gabe/Adam makes an excuse and says they are moving back to their old place but Sage says, “NO I GOT MY OWN PLACE and I am filing for divorce.”

Gabe/Adam asks Sage to talk to him in private. Sage tells Gabe/ Adam she is not lying anymore she is done with their twisted arrangement. Sage is leaving Gabe/Adam, he begs her to reconsider, he promises to be good. Sage walks away and goes up to Mr. Tipton she says, “This man does not deserve his grandmother’s inheritance and I want out of this sham of a marriage.”

Mr. Tipton is happy and says, “An honest answer, at last, I will draw up the papers to terminate your inheritance.”

Gabe/Adam grabs Sage and asks if she thinks she is going to walk out after what she did?

Nick informs Summer that Noah [Robert Adamason] had a rough night with the press hounding him. Summer is upset because she helped Courtney [Kelli Gross] get ready for her wedding, Courtney was her friend. Nick wants to help make the pain go away. Summer praises Kyle and tells Nick Kyle has been very helpful. Nick is surprised

Kyle tells Jack whatever the threat is to Jabot he has to go, Summer is his priority. Phyllis walks in and tells Jack Summer wants them to get married so their wedding plans are back on.

Jack tells Kyle the threat is Victor, he is gunning for Jabot and it is time to rally around the Jabot flag. Kyle comments, “This is incredible another chapter in the war between the Abbots and the Newmans.”

Jack tells Kyle there is a charity benefit at the Athletic Club and he wants Kyle to represent him. Kyle finally agrees and says, “I don’t want to embarrass the great Jack Abbott.”

Devon [Bryton James] tells Neil [Kristoff St. James] he wanted to give him a heads up, he is going to meet with the prosecutor and tell him why he should cut Neil a break. Neil tells him NO WAY; nothing Devon can say will make a difference.

Devon sees Hilary [Mishael Morgan] and goes over and asks her to come and see the Assistant DA, Winston with him so they can explain why Neil did what he did. Hilary tells him to have a good time, she is not going.

Nikki tells Victor not to meddle – Victor asks Leslie where she is going with this he feels Leslie is trying to make Nikki look bad. Leslie says it is an interesting way to go and Leslie gets up and leaves.

Victor tells Nikki not to talk to her and not to tell her what to do

Summer tells Nick she is going to get through it all and he tells her he is so proud of her, there is a knock at the door. Kyle shows up and Nick tells him he is glad to see him. Kyle tells Nick Summer can always count on him.

Summer tells Kyle she has great parents and she is lucky. Kyle is upset because his Dad (Jack) was all over him and wants him to go to a Charity Event that night. Summer offers to go with him. Kyle is pleased.

Jack is not happy about how his talk went with Kyle. Phyllis says it was not the time to talk about work with Kyle after all he just lost a friend. Jack says he does not want Kyle ruining his life like Billy. Jack then admits to Phyllis he is actually worried about Billy because he is facing a major battle ahead.

Chelsea tells her Mom Anita that Connor is napping so she is going to the office. Her Mom tells her get in a better mood so they can talk about her new admirer. Chelsea’s Mom asks her if the wedding planning is still on with Billy and Chelsea tells her the wedding is delayed. Cheslea tells Anita she changed her mind and wants to get married to Billy right away .

Gabe/Adam tells Sage she has destroyed everything. Sage lets him know nothing is worth living the life she has been living. Sage tells Gabe/Adam he did not deserve the money, nothing he has done made him deserve it. She then sarcastically tells Gabe/Adam he can pursue Chelsea now he is free of his ball and chain and she leaves.

Victor tells Nikki someone has to look out for her best interest and Leslie is not her friend. Victor calls Nikki gullible.

Devon tells the Assistant DA Winston that considering what Neil went through it is no surprise what happened. He tells Winston Neil is a good man, a great man and it was a tragic accident.

Winston tells Devon he is looking for justice of the unborn child and he will be asking the judge for the maximum sentence.

Hilary calls Winston (Asst DA) and pretends she is Anne – he asks about their date and she tells him she wants to move it up and move location, maybe to her Suite .

Nick comes into the Athletic Club and sees Sage she asks about Summer and Noah. Nick tells Sage he wanted to warn her about Gabe/Adam. Sage cuts him off and tells Nick she packed her bags and moved out she ended the farce of a marriage with Gabe/Adam. Nick asks if it is tacky to say congrats. Sage tells Nick it was him who made her go for it!

Gabe/Adam knocks on Chelsea’s door and Anita opens the door – when she finds out it is Gabe – she pulls him in and asks what he was thinking making a play for her daughter. Anita tells Gabe/Adam her daughter is madly in love with Billy. Gabe/Adam says, “NO she is in love with her dead husband.” Gabe/Adam goes on and says, “and Billly is still hung up on his ex-wife and I think I can offer her more. I can offer Chelsea exactly what her ex husband could offer her Love!” Gabe/Adam says if Adam walked through that door Chelsea would forgive him in a minute he knows he would! Anita says she is not so sure. Gabe/Adam says that is exactly why I am here. All of a sudden Chelsea walks in and says, “What are you doing here I told you to stay away from me!”

Victor tells Nikki to stop fighting he does not want to fight anymore. Nikki agrees they have to go to a fundraiser and she does not want tension. Victor promises to be on his best behavior.

Jack tells Phyllis they have to be ready for what Victor throws at them. They have to be ready for the “Black Knight.” Phyllis asks if the fight includes some fun… Jack agrees once they have passed the crisis he wants to travel with his bride.

Jack tells Phyllis Billy and Chelsea can cover for him and he wants to groom Kyle to take over for him at Jabot. Phyllis thinks Kyle may not be ready she cautions him to give Kyle time.

Kyle tells Summer he did not think she would be up for an event. Summer wants to go because Avery will be honored and she thinks this will take her mind off things. They agree to go together to the Charity Event.

Chelsea demands Gabe/Adam leave. Anita interferes and tells Chelsea to give him time to talk. Anita says goodbye and leaves. Chelsea screams that Gabe/Adam has told her everything she needs to know. Gabe/Adam says, “I did not tell you everything!!”

Nick and Sage are having a drink and he tells her he is proud of her. Sage says she is relieved now there are no more obstacles in living the life she wants. Nick asks her if she is sure she is ready to move on?

Gabe/Adam tells Chelsea, “all has changed Sage and I are done, we are filing for divorce. That is how much you mean to me. The inheritance does not matter – I am giving it all up for you Chelsea.”

Gabe/Adam asks where her paper fiancé, Billy is… Chelsea is crying and says she wishes Billy was here, especially today. Gabe/Adam asks what is the matter but she tells him he does not get to be part of her life anymore.

Hilary is giving the DA Winston a massage – he is tense because he had to tell a defendant’s son that he is throwing the book at his Dad. Hilary is seducing the DA and starts to take his shirt off saying she is going to take his mind off all of that.

Nikki tells Neil she knows he has been distraught but she thought he stopped drinking. Neil makes a snarky comment and Nikki says she is trying to help him. She asks Neil if he likes the man he sees in the mirror? Nikki tells Neil he is acting like his life is over she begs him not to throw his life away – she leaves and Neil picks up his glass of alcohol.

Devon comes into the Athletic Club and tells Neil the Assistant DA is going to throw the book at him. Devon offers to use his money to set him up in another Country. Neil tells him he is not running he is going to fight it like a man.

Hilary and DA Winston are in bed and the phone rings. It is Neil’s lawyer Leslie she wants to talk plea bargain – he asks if Leslie is desperate. Leslie asks what he is offering and Winston says, “Dream on, my boss wants him to serve time. For him to plea out it would take something extraordinary.”

Summer is all dressed up for the event and she asks Kyle what he thinks of her dress. He tells her it is beautiful like her .

Jack tells Phyllis she better have her bags packed because he just spoke to the pilot and he is going to drop them off at the island right after the benefit. Phyllis is thrilled the wedding is finally happening.

Victor calls someone and says, “The Abbotts are closing ranks, The family hierarchy they always do that when under threat, alright? I am going to blow that Hierarchy to smithereens and change the order of it and you and I will be at the top.

Meanwhile, Sage and Nick making out in bed.

Gabe/Adam – “I know you are mad at me and I understand why but I am your friend and I care deeply about you so whatever it is that is going on or whatever it is that is bothering you you don’t have to do this alone I am here just to help you.” Chelsea sobbing, “When I walked into the door that was Connor’s doctor he had bad news!”

So Y&R fans it seems like the jig is almost up with Gabe/dam, now that Sage has told Mr. Tipton their marriage is a sham.  Will Connor being Sick cause Gabe/Adam to admit who he is?  With Jack and Phyllis leaving for their wedding after the Charity Event it seems to me something big is going to happen at the event.  Victor could be planning to put his plot into action.
