‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers April 27: Michael and Lauren Separate, Fake Jack Slips Up, Neil Gets A Job, Devon and Hilary Make Out

‘The Young and the Restless” spoilers for April 27 promise and episode rich in the inner workings of couple coming together and moving apart.  Victor and Fake Jack work at reconciling their different approaches to the massive fraud they are perpertrating.  As the imposter proves to be a skilled con man.  After a promising start Sharon and Nick fall back into acrimony to the level that Dylan feels it is necessary to intervene.  Y&R fans will be heartbroken as an angry Michael tells his crying wife that he wants a separation.

On Monday’s episode of Y&R it opens with Hilary [Mishael Morgan] and Devon [Bryton James] – Hilary is still crying about how Devon is the love of her life…. She did not fake that she loves him, he was her everything.

Neil [Kristoff St. John] tells Gwen [Nadine Cole] that she did too good a job pretending she was dating Devon.

Fake Jack [Peter Bergman] is on the phone ordering a new Ferrari to take Phyllis [Gina Tognoni] out in. Victor [Eric Braeden] walks in overhears and hangs the phone up on Jack. It seems Fake Jack always wanted a Ferrari and Victor warns him to watch his step because Jack Abbot is not like that. Fake Jack tells Victor, “Jack Abbott almost died that changes someone.” Victor is not a happy camper and tells him people don’t change that much. Fake Jack thinks Victor better hope other people don’t think that way because they will think that he would never merge the two companies. Neil knocks on the door and says, “I see it, but I don’t believe it!”

Nikki [Melody Thomas Scott] comes to see Phyllis and tells her they need to talk about the merger. Nikki is skeptical about it she feels the Abbott family business is being destroyed – Nikki wonders what is really going on. She does not believe that Victor and Jack’s partnership is real. Phyllis agrees she has thought it is an act. Phyllis wants to put it to a test.

Over at Crimson Lights poor Noah [Robert Adamson] is not allowed to go to Courtney’s [Kelly Gross] funeral because of Sharon [Sharon Case] – her parents don’t want him there. Faith and Nick [Joshua Morrow] is at the table with him and Nick wants to talk to Faith about Sharon. A reporter walks up and says, “Mr. Newman what do you have to say about your former wife being arrested for murder?” Poor Faith says, “Are they talking about Mommy?”

Over with Michael [Christian LeBlanc] who has collapsed – Sharon and Avery [Jessica Collins] are concerned. They want him to go to the hospital – he finally agrees as long as they don’t bother Lauren [Tracy E Bregman]

Joe [Scott Elrod] is surprised Dylan [Steve Burton] is okay with Avery going to Chicago. Dylan tells him he just wants to make sure Joe does not take advantage of her.

Nick takes the reporter outside and starts threatening him. Noah pulls Nick aside and then the lawyer makes a comment, “Do you know pi-polar runs in the family” Nick punches him.

Faith wants to see Sharon but Noah tells her it is not a good time. Faith insists he hugs her.

Avery comes into the hospital and Dylan thinks she is there to see Joe but she tells him she is there because Michael collapsed.

Avery asks Dylan if he is okay with what she is doing, he tells her he knows why she has to do it. They agree to have a date that night, no computers and no phones since they have not had much time together lately.

Hilary is still going on about how they cannot fight what they have together. She wants Devon to remember what they had… They talk about the things they had. She still wants a family with Devon. He walks over to her and they start kissing. Hilary pulls away and says she does not want to ruin it by going to fast -he is too important to her.

Victor tells Neil they really want him as part of the merger. Victor and Jack are offering him the position of CFO. Neil is unsure of how Jack really feels. He asks Fake Jack if he is really okay with it because last time he was not. Fake Jack does not remember and Neil asks him why doesn’t he remember.

Victor covers for Fake Jack and tells Neil, “Of course Jack remembers!” Neil is suspicious and asks if Jack is okay. Fake Jack leaves to take a call – it is Phyllis. Phyllis tells Fake Jack she is planning a dinner for Victor and Nikki, they want to celebrate Victor and Jack putting their grudges aside.

Fake Jack is alone in office and Neil comes in and says, “Jack it is just you and me now, how do you really feel about it.” Jack says, “How many ways can I say you are hired.” Neil is not giving up and says, “I am talking about you and Victor call me crazy a lot has happened between the two of you, how can you let this happen.” Jack tells him priorities change and seeing the smile on Phyllis’s face made his day. Neil agrees to come on as CFO [Chief Financial Officer]

Neil leaves and Gwen is there she tells him there are things he should know.

Fake Jack tells Victor that Phyllis is planning a celebratory dinner Victor thinks it is too soon. Fake Jack thinks it is a good idea but Victor warns him HE calls the shots and it is too soon for Fake Jack to be tested. Nikki and Phyllis could trip him up. Fake Jack tries to convince Victor he has skills. Victor says, “You are a convict, I sprang you out of a Peruvian prison, you do as I tell you and you better behave at dinner, GOT THAT??”

Noah brought Faith to see Sharon. Noah lets Sharon know that Faith is upset because of what a reporter said and Nick punched the reporter. Sharon thinks it is good Noah brought her because she needs to hear it from her and not someone else.

Lauren runs into Michael’s hospital room. Lauren starts nagging at him about over working and hiding…. she wants to know why. Michael gets angry and says, “I was suffocating, and you treat me like an invalid. I am sick of you being all over me I need space. I want a separation!”

Victor tells Nikki and Phyllis that Neil will be new CFO – they are both thrilled.

Gwen tells Neil she had no idea Hilary was sneaking around on him with Hilary. Neil tells Gwen that Hilary was a total manipulator hell bent on revenge. Neil sees that Devon was used. Gwen asks him if he is thinking of forgiving Devon and who walks into the Athletic Club but Devon and Hilary.

Joe thanks Avery for coming to Chicago with him but he does not want her to feel obligated. She leaves his room and tells Dylan she is ready to start their romantic evening. Dylan tells her there has been a change of plans.

Sharon is telling Faith about why people think she is guilty of murder. She tells Faith she did not do the crimes someone made her look like she did the crimes. Sharon tells her she would never hurt Courtney or Austin. Faith says she believes her and Noah agrees he does too. Nick walks in.

Noah is taking Faith home and of course Nick is staying. Sharon thanks Nick for punching the reporter and he says he did it for the kids who she is putting through hell … Sharon screams at him and says, “If I am too blame for what our children are going through, so are you!”

Avery and Dylan are over at Crimson Lights the water pipe broke and they are cleaning it up. Dylan is upset because it interrupted their date. But Avery tells him she loves him.

Lauren is shocked and Michael says it is what he wants. Lauren is upset she is not going to let Michael give up. Michael is not happy and says, “You keep talking at me, telling me what you want. Can you listen to me Lauren? What it comes down to is I am tired of having to work so hard to hold this together. People have ups and downs but marriage should not be so hard. I have given it all I have but I have nothing left. I feel you have so many expectations. I don’t want to fight. I just need room to breath.” Lauren tells him she will give him the space he needs. She is crying and says goodnight. Michael says goodbye.

Phyllis tells Victor and Fake Jack she is impressed with their openness. Nikki agrees they must have planned long to get this to work. Fake Jack says, “There is a time in life you want to stop fighting.” Victor agrees and Jack says, “Onward and Upward and if we reach greater heights working together, Why the Hell not.” Victor agrees and says his sentiments exactly.

Phyllis says in honor of new beginnings she has decorated the table with orchids AND SHE is going to let Jack explain the significance. Fake Jack looks shocked…. and says, “The significance hmmmm..” Phyllis whispers a clue, “Japan” Fake Jack says nothing and then Phyllis says, “Don’t act like you don’t remember” Fake Jack says, “Listen you are not going to like the sound of this but there is something I need to tell you right now.”

Avery tells Dylan when she gets back they are getting back to normal, he is the love of her life. The phone rings it is the hospital – there has been a change in Joe’s transport and they are leaving that night.

Fake Jack tells Phyllis there is something he has led her to believe about him that is not true. Victor cuts him off and says, “Now Jack I don’t think we…” Nikki interrupts and says, “Victor, I think Phyllis wants to hear this.” Jack says, “This is about the secret agenda I shared with you, the one that explains why I decided to merge with Newman, I have not exactly been honest about that. When Victor and I were buried alive he saved my life yes but something more happened when we were forced to share that hospital room we also realized we share some regrets, some hopes, some dreams. We both have children we are grooming to take over your lives work and that changed me, who I am, I don’t want my chief motivation to be destruction anymore, and neither does Victor. What motivates us now is actually love.”

Hilary goes back upstairs and Devon comes over to Neil he wants to talk to him. Devon tells Neil when he saw Devon coming down with Hilary it is not what he thought. Devon tells him he is grateful that Neil is not looking at him with hate in his eyes. Neil tells Devon he is the new CFO and he will be working with Gwen and Hilary closely.

Nick is pissed because Sharon is blaming him again! Sharon goes on about how he is responsible for paralyzing a girl and walking a way. Nick tells Sharon she is not innocent he knows what she is capable of. Dylan walks in and warns him not to talk to Sharon that way again.

Avery comes to see Joe and he tells her he does not want to cause her inconvenience but asks her if she is ready to do it.

Nick asks Dylan why is he so invested in Sharon – Dylan says he cannot stand the fact Sharon is being judged from when she was sick. Nick says, “Fine don’t say I didn’t warn you!” and leaves.

Dylan asks Sharon if she is okay and Sharon says she is scared nothing will ever be okay again.

Fake Jack tells Phyllis he is simply not the man she fell in love with all those years ago. Their distrust and dislike of Victor was something they had in common he does not want that anymore. He hopes she can accept that him working with Victor is the best for everyone. Phyllis says, “If you can, I can.” Nikki says, “I am not under any illusions it will always be easy going between the two of them but I thinks it is a wonderful start.” Nikki and Phyllis leave to do dinner.

Victor congratulates Fake Jack on a good job and Fake Jack arrogantly agrees he did and tells Victor to stop talking about sending him back to Peru. Then Fake Jack says, “I just have time to finish ordering the Ferrari.” and walks out.

That is it Y&R fans!  Fake Jack slipped up a couple of times in this episode, do you think anyone is going to notice he is acting very un-Jackish?  It looks like Hilary and Devon are getting back together do you Neil will accept them as a couple?  Meanwhile,  Michael has asked Lauren for a separation.  Does this leave the door open for a Lauren and Cane pairing?
