‘The Young and the Restless’ Speculation: Will Patty Williams Expose Sharon’s Fake Pregnancy – Where is Patty’s Y&R Storyline Headed?

“Young and the Restless” brought back fan favorite, Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) for a three-month stint on the show. There’s no doubt that crazy Patty will stir up some real drama on “Y&R,” in time. As it sits right now, it is difficult to figure out what Patty’s end game could be with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). She is obviously nosey and a blabbermouth, but above that, where is the storyline going?

Recently, the show has introduced a few brand-new characters without wrapping up current storylines. Typically, the soap has a few crazy characters that are needing an intervention, not the whole cast. Currently, the show has Sharon and Patty in Fairview mental institution PLUS Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) that really could use one-on-one therapy, stat.

Patty tried to befriend Sharon, but she was not wanting to open up to her at all. She became angry with Patty when she learned that she eavesdropped on her conversations with her family’s visit. She put her on notice and let her know not to come anywhere near her children. Patty was concerned because she heard Sharon tell Mariah (Camryn Grimes) about her miscarriage. Sharon quickly gets nervous knowing that it won’t take Patty long to figure out that she is not pregnant. She whispers to herself, “I think Fairview was a bad decision.” Sharon knows that Patty is smart, and she will figure out that she was faking her pregnancy.

Another thing that isn’t making sense to fans is why Sharon would check herself into Fairview when she was actively trying to get pregnant. It is pretty difficult to get pregnant when she is away from Dylan (Steve Burton). It seemed like she was trying to buy some time, but she bought more than she can pay for when Patty learned of her big secret. Police chief Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) will visit his sister, Patty on Thursday’s show. Fans speculate that Patty could let it slip out that Sharon was pretending to be pregnant. If that happens, Paul would be forced to tell his son that Sharon is not really pregnant.

Patty Williams’ storyline is still unpredictable- which is a great thing. Hopefully in time, it will be clearer to fans what Patty’s end game is with Sharon- and if the kidnapping rumors are true. Do you think Patty will kidnap Sage’s baby for Sharon?
