‘The Young and the Restless’ Speculation: Was Gabriel or Sage Responsible for Delia’s Death-What Is Sage Hiding, Will Sage Betray Adam For Nick?

Ever since the names of Sage Warner [Kelly Sullivan] and Gabriel Bingham [Justin Hartley] were mentioned on The Young and the Restless they have been under a shroud of mystery. What do we really know about these two? Well we know that they lived in the forest with Gabriel’s grandmother Constance Bingham. [Sally Kellerman]

Constance absolutely adored her grandson Gabriel; he was the light of her life. When she passed away she left him everything in her will with one stipulation, he had to be married and stay married for at least 2 years to collect. Another thing we know is Constance DESPISED Victor [Eric Braeden] and Adam Newman. She hated Victor because he orchestrated a hostile takeover of Gabe’s Dad’s company, which caused Gabe’s Dad to commit suicide. She hated Victor so much that on her deathbed she asked Gabriel/Adam to avenge his father’s death. Her reason for hating Adam was because she said he was murderer and he did not deserve to be saved.

But is Adam really a murderer? I doubt it!  What if Adam didn’t run Delia down, perhaps it was Constance’s own grandson Gabriel who was the real killer of Delia? Remember when Sage had a flashback of being on a dark road, what did it mean? Was it the dark road Delia was hit on? Was Sage driving or was Gabriel driving?

Lets look at the part Sage plays in all of this, Sage appears to be hiding a lot, she also seems to be as good at scheming as Adam is. It was Sage’s idea to give Adam Gabriel’s face. Adam was not pleased when he found out Sage wanted him to pretend to be Gabriel but he went along with it because Sage threatened to turn him into the police.

Why and where were Sage and Gabe going when they came across Adam’s crash? The theory is they were heading to the courthouse to get married but they never made it. When Sage later claimed that she and Gabe were married the day of Adam’s accident was she lying? I believe Sage got a fake wedding certificate and license to make Adam/Gabriel think they were really married? It appears that Sage will stop at nothing to get her hands on Constance’s inheritance.

But now things have changed, Sage has fallen for Nick Newman. Sage is caught between a rock and a hard place. Sage is in love and she wants Nick but if she reveals to the world that Adam is Gabe she will risk the only thing that is important to her besides money, Nick Newman. [Joshua Morrow] Nick will blow a gasket if he finds out Sage has been covering up for his supposedly deceased brother Adam whom he despised.

If Sage tries to leave Adam/Gabriel and end their sham of a marriage Adam/Gabriel might run to Nick and tell him Sage is a gold digger and only after his money. But will Sage throw caution to the winds and take a chance that Nick will forgive her past transgressions and let love dominate reason and allow her to remain with him. Another thing Sage could do is to say that she has been suspicious of Adam/Gabriel for a while and finally got proof he was an imposter.  Sage could claim after Avery showed her how Gabriel/Adam’s signature on the “Better Days Foundation” contract was different than the signature on the older contracts she realized her suspicious were right and Adam/Gabriel was indeed an imposter.

When it comes down to it I just don’t think Sage will do anything, she can keep threatening Adam all she wants but she has almost as much to lose as Adam does if the truth comes out. Lets not forget the legal problems she would have for keeping Adam’s identity a secret. In the end when all is revealed Adam will still be a Newman BUT who will she be?

Will she be blabbing about Adam’s true identity anytime soon? Not likely! How about we throw a wrench in this and bring Constance back. Maybe Constance faked her own death because she figured out Adam/Gabriel was not her grandson. Perhaps she was afraid of Sage and how far she would go to get her hands on her money.   She felt a lot safer if Sage thought she was dead.

I have heard rumours that TPTB at The Young and the Restless want to bring Constance back. In the end does Sage have more to lose than Adam when they find out who really killed Delia? Will anyone put together Sage and Gabe’s wedding date being the same day as Adam’s death? Stay tuned for all of these riveting questions to be revealed on The Young and the Restless.
