‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) RUMORS: Does Adam Know He’s Working With Ian Ward – Sage Involved With Paragon?

“Young and the Restless” writers had hinted for some time that Sage (Kelly Sullivan) and Adam/Gabriel (Justin Hartley) have an involved past that could present a big problem with their present relationships. Sage wanted to appear as if she was worthy of Nick Newman’s love and affection- and fought for a fairy tale life with him. There’s only one problem- when the truth comes out that she knew Adam well- and helped him return from the ‘dead’; she will be in the Newman doghouse. Will Nick forgive her for helping the enemy?

The story goes that Sage found Adam badly burned, and she knew she had to help him. Gabriel Bingham died when he saved Adam’s life. It was this moment that Sage decided she had to do everything possible to help him. She claimed she didn’t know much about Adam Newman at the time. She learned afterwards that Adam was not a nice man. From the time that he could speak, he told her he planned to return to Genoa City to return to the love of his life, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). She helped Adam reclaim his life by giving him a new face and life.

Friday’s spoilers revealed that Adam was behind the Paragon project and possibly in cahoots with Ian Ward. Not much is known the extent of his involvement with Ward (Ray Wise) – only that he was in the plot to take Victor (Eric Braeden) down. It looked as if Ian Ward may have pulled one over Adam, because he was clearly shocked when the file transfer showed company name Paragon Project on the computer screen. It is possible that he wasn’t even aware he was working with Ian Ward.

If Sage was involved with any of the Paragon Project, she can kiss her marriage and happy life away. Nick would never forgive her. As it is, Sage will have a difficult time defending her involvement with Adam- without any business scams to complicate the situation. Sage’s secrets are mounting- it is no wonder why she was having trouble enjoying life as Mrs. Newman. She knows it could all blow up in her face at any time.

At this time, Sage is not implicated in Ian Ward and the Paragon Project; however, she could be involved at some level. It seems much more likely that Adam doesn’t know that he was working with Ian Ward. He may only want to help take his father down to weaken him to get him to back down on the custody lawsuit. Regardless of reason behind his involvement- Ian Ward and Adam Newman working together was a shocking revelation. Do you think Adam knew he was working with Ian Ward?
