‘The Young and the Restless’ Rumors: Will Chelsea End Up Pregnant, Father Billy or Adam? Baby Drama on Y&R!

The latest “Young and the Restless” rumors are hinting at some big baby drama to come. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) recently slept with Gabriel (Justin Hartley), who we know is actually Adam. It’s highly likely that Chelsea will become pregnant or at least have a pregnancy scare. After all, no one ever uses birth control on a soap. If Chelsea does end up with a bun in the oven, it opens up a world of possibilities.

First, there’s the question Chelsea (and Y&R fans) will immediately be asking: who’s the baby daddy? Chelsea already has Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) and if she adds one more to Adam’s brood, it could create the perfect little family. However, once Gabriel’s true identity is revealed, that will obviously be an obstacle. Chelsea will undoubtedly be hurt that Adam lied to her, but a baby would be a great way for writers to pull them together in spite of his deception.

If Chelsea gets pregnant by Billy (Burgess Jenkins), she’ll be left with the dilemma of choosing between her head or her heart. It’s clear that Chelsea is drawn to Gabe, but she’s committed to Billy. By adding a baby to the mix, Chelsea could feel the need to stay with Billy for the long haul. Of course, we all know that new loves rarely last on “The Young and the Restless.” Even if Chelsea decides she’s devoted to Billy, we all know it’s just a matter of time before she can’t fight her feelings for Adam any longer. Most Y&R fans seem to think “Chadam” is the writers’ endgame.

A Chelsea and Adam pairing could still happen if the child is Billy’s. In fact, it might be a good thing for long-term storylines. It would only increase the rivalry between Billy and Adam. Connor and Billy’s baby could grow up (and eventually be SORASed) to carry on the feud between the Newmans and the Abbotts. Naturally, there’s always the option of a paternity switcheroo down the road. Whatever the case, a pregnancy for Chelsea would certainly stir things up on the CBS soap.
