‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) RUMOR: Patty Williams Not Dead – Faking Her Death And Joining Forces With Ian Ward?

“The Young and the Restless” rumors tease that Patty Williams [Stacy Haiduk] could be the first confirmed death in the Newman fiery disaster. Jack Abbott [Peter Bergman] felt for her pulse and confirmed that she had no heart beat nor was she breathing. Phyllis [Gina Tognoni] screamed at him to keep moving and to leave her, or they would not get out alive.

Long-time fans predicted that Patty would perish in the fire. It seems like that prediction was true- at least for now. It seems like the fire was just a way to get Patty out of Fairview, and out in to the world. Patty was very concerned about Sharon [Sharon Case]. She had information to give to Dylan [Steve Burton] about Sharon’s medical care at Fairview. She escaped to get her the help she needed. She believes that Sharon is pregnant and is worried about her baby.

Phyllis accused Patty of being the one who started the fire, and she denied it. When they were trying to get out of the room, an explosion throws Patty- and it seemed to have killed her. Jack seemed disturbed when he realized she didn’t make it.

Jack and Phyllis leave her and make their way downstairs to the exit of the building. They find Paul [Doug Davidson] and tell him Patty died trying to help them find Dylan. Paul was horrified; Paul loved his sister and remains the one person who was always there for her.

Her death will greatly impact Paul. He will feel lost and distraught for a while and may blame Jack or Phyllis for her accidental death. Paul thought she was getting better, so if they imply that she was not lucid, he could have a hard time believing them.

“The Young And The Restless” spoilers for Thursday November 5th tease that Jack was mistaken – and Patty is still very much alive (for now).  But, “Y&R” spoilers also indicate that Patty might be joining forces with Ian Ward, and we all know that most likely won’t end well for her.  Meanwhile, Patty’s brother Paul and the rest of Genoa City think that she died in the fire – and this gives her the perfect opportunity to fake her death and wreak havoc on GC without anyone the wiser.  Do you think that Patty is out of the clear, or could she still wind up losing her life before the catastrophe is over?  Will she fake her death and let everyone keep thinking she is dead?  What could her and Ian Ward be cooking up together?  Share your theories in the comments below!
