‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) News: Michael Muhney Attends ‘Search Engines’ Premiere – His New Movie!

If “The Young and the Restless” viewers thought they had heard the last from Michael Muhney when he departed the role of Adam Newman – think again.  According to his Twitter account, Muhney attended the cast and crew screening of his new comedy “Search Engines” at an undisclosed theatre in Hollywood on October 5.

The film is listed as in post-production on IMDb and no character name has been assigned to Michael yet according to the last update. The film’s storyline – sanity and relationships are put to the test when mysterious circumstances force a family to survive the annual American Thanksgiving holiday without their cell phones. Other actors in the movie include Natasha Gregson Wagner – daughter of Robert Wagner and the late Natalie Wood, Hollywood legend Connie Stevens and “Melrose Place” alum Daphne Zuniga.

Michael Muhney departed “Y&R” in December 2013 after being unceremoniously fired – neither TPTB nor the actor has spoken publicly about the full story behind the actor’s dismissal. Fans of soap operas have heard many rumors about where Muhney may land next. Several reports have placed him at “General Hospital” as Lucky Quartermaine or even Ethan Lovett. But the actor seems to be busy making feature films.

“The Track” is another big screen movie that is in post-production – Michael is listed as portraying the part of Tony. The storyline for “The Track” – Caren crosses paths with an underage prostitute, Barbie. The result is a mother-daughter relationship that will save both their lives. The film was directed by Brett Levner and also stars Mike Doyle, Sam Trammel and Clarence Gilyard, Jr.
