Melissa Claire Egan portrays the beautiful Chelsea Lawson Newman on “Young and the Restless.” She posted on her twitter that she made a life-changing decision about her life, and, as a result, she was going to take out her belly button ring. Fans immediately responded to her vague post by asking her if she was expecting. Is it possible that Melissa is expecting a child in real life?

Last year, it was speculated after Melissa was married that she was expecting. She cleared up the rumor quickly by saying that she wanted to spend at least a year with her husband and enjoy life as a couple. It’s been almost two years now, and it appears; she may be ready to embrace a life-changing decision.

In her post, she said that due to a life-changing decision, she would be taking out her belly button ring. She expressed sadness to see the belly button ring go. Some of her fans urged her to reconsider removing it while others were convinced the reason for her removal was either pregnancy or deciding to try to conceive a child.

Later, she clarified her post and stated she isn’t pregnant. She said it is just time to grow up, and her belly ring was part of her youth. Fans aren’t entirely convinced that she isn’t considering a child soon. For now, Melissa says that she is not pregnant- just needs to grow up.
