“The Young and the Restless” star Burgess Jenkins has been busy portraying Billy Abbott, but he’s also been busy directing and starring in the movie “Stalemate.” A release date for the film has not yet been set. The plot of the film is about an uptight, stable but stale businesswoman who must choose between two perfect men.
In addition to “Stalemate” IMDB lists another movie – “Seven Days ‘Till Midnight” in pre-production and Burgess is listed as portraying the character of Harmond. “I Am Potential” – released on July 9, 2015 – is yet another movie the actor stars in – his character is Patrick John Hughes – the main character. The movie also stars Jimmy Bellinger, Jama Williamson and veteran actor Judge Reinhold.

The actor has been getting a lot of screen time on “Y&R” as the storyline has built up to the big Adam Newman/Gabe Bingham (Justin Hartley) reveal. Now fans can see Burgess flex his acting chops in “I Am Potential,” “Stalemate” and “Seven Days ‘Till Midnight.” “The Young and the Restless” fans can find out more information and get the story behind “Seven Days ‘Till Midnight” on the movie’s official website. The film is described as one man’s journey through the wilderness as well as inside his own mind, his emotions and the choices he has made in life. The tone of the movie has been compared to that of “127 Hours” and “Castaway.”
Things are really heating up for Billy Abbott on “The Young and the Restless” and he’s busy directing and starring in movies. It makes fans wonder what direction TPTB at “Y&R” are going for Billy if Burgess needs time off to complete these projects. There is a speculative scenario – and that would be Billy having to serve time for the attempted murder or Adam Newman (Justin Hartley).
