“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) star Steve Burton (Dylan McAvoy) has become a co-owner of Jack & Jameson’s Smokehouse in Franklin, Tennessee. One of Burton’s partners is none other than Jonathan Jackson – former Lucky Spencer on “General Hospital” – who portrays Avery Barkley on the ABC primetime drama “Nashville.”
The announcement was made on Jack & Jameson’s Smokehouses Facebook page accompanied by a photo of Steve and Jonathan. The restaurant is still undergoing a remodel and no opening date has been announced yet. Franklin, Tennessee is approximately 20 miles from Nashville, the country music capital of the world.
The official Facebook page teases, “Owners Steve Burton and Jonathan Jackson became friends as actors in Hollywood over 15 years ago. They have always enjoyed working together & started Jack & Jameson’s because they knew Franklin, TN would benefit from a family friendly restaurant like ours.”
The restaurant is named for two of the owners, Jack and Jameson. The new eatery is described as a place the whole family will enjoy. Steve Burton and Jonathan Jackson are both devoted family men and this endeavor sounds as if it is a perfect collaboration for the good friends and former co-stars.
As soon as more information is available about the restaurant – and whether or not Steve and Jonathan will be there for the Grand Opening – Soap Opera Spy will share the news with you. In case you are wondering, Jack & Jameson’s Smokehouse is located at 509 Hillsboro Road. If you reside in Franklin or Nashville you may want to drive by and take a look-see as the smokehouse nears completion.
“Y&R,” “GH” and “Nashville” fans – if you don’t live near the Jack & Jameson’s Smokehouse would you consider making plans for a vacation so you can dine at the restaurant?
