“The Young and the Restless’s” Michael Baldwin [Christian LeBlanc] and Lauren Fenmore [Tracey E. Bregman] celebrated their ten-year wedding anniversary today. Ten years ago on Dec. 9, 2005, the happy couple married and celebrated their love in front of Genoa City.

The couple were friends for years, and always had a special connection to each other. They really bonded through helping troubled teenager, Kevin Fisher [Greg Rikaart] after he tried to catch Gina’s house on fire with Colleen Carlton [Tammin Sursok] locked up in it. His reasoning to target Colleen was simple; she was speaking out against him to her best friend, and his girlfriend at the time, Lily [Christel Khalil].
After they got Kevin the help, he needed both emotionally and legally speaking, Kevin started to believe that he was in love with Lauren. He made it extremely difficult for Michael to profess his love for Lauren, out of fear his love could place a target on Lauren’s back, leaving Kevin with the urge to hurt her. After therapy [and lots of it] Kevin realized that Michael and Lauren were meant to be together. He realized he confessed a great friendship with Lauren with true love, and he moved on.

Michael proposed to Lauren after one year of dating, and during his proposal was the first time he ever told her he loved her. It made the night extra special, as they danced while an Elvis impersonator sang to them.
Gloria [Judith Chapman] helped the couple create the perfect wedding at the Colonnade Room, with nearly every cast member in attendance. Chris Botti was responsible for the music for the wedding. Lauren’s dress was gorgeous. It was an amazing scene that fans watched because it was a great storyline. Do you remember when Lauren and Michael got married on Dec. 9, 2005?
