“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) Kristoff St. John held an unveiling of the Julian St. John Memorial Bench at Cremation Gardens on the first anniversary of Julian’s death. The actor shared the emotional home video with fans via his Twitter account. Julian’s memorial is located in a beautiful and peaceful garden.
The engraving on the Julian St. John Memorial Bench was recently completed and Kristoff wanted to share it with “The Young and the Restless” fans. In the video Kristoff explains this isn’t something he would normally. St. John’s purpose in sharing this with the world is to bring even more awareness to the mental health issues that millions of people live with every day. His voice cracking sadness Kristoff narrates, “Every day, every year. They suffer in silence with mental issues, mental illness. It’s only together that we can help.”

The video, made by Kristoff using a handheld camera, is deeply personal as he opens up a part of his personal life fans wouldn’t normally see. During the journey through the garden Kristoff St. John shares extremely profound thoughts about life and the afterlife. Walking through the area reminds Kristoff that he is mortal. “We must live while we are here. To be here and die emotionally, mentally is a crime. We are here to live while we are here.”
St. John’s youngest daughter Lola accompanies Kristoff up the path to the marble memorial bench. It is inscribed with Julian’s name, date of birth, and date of his tragic death. The bench also has a photo of Julian, and a photo of a self-portrait. A poem Julian St. John wrote is also inscribed in the marble. “I hope to find peace, Wherever I go, I know one will be waiting The day I begin, The day I wake up from this dream I’m in.”
