Julie Chang opened her segment by showing her viewers that the CBS set is shared between all CBS shows, including “The Price is Right” and “The Young and the Restless.” The hit daytime drama has been on the air for 42 years and rated the number-one soap opera for 27 consecutive years.
Justin displayed his personality by showing her a prop of a coffee mug. He told her it had been on the show since the very first show. He explained how special the cup was to the show. He appeared to accidently drop if shattering the cup everywhere. Justin explained the cool thing about the show is they can fix anything.
Justin Hartley explained that production moves things around constantly, the sets get shifted, and he gets lost daily. He takes her to the GCAC suite and tells her, “This is where the magic happens.” The reported laughed as he added, “No, this is where the rating happens.”
Hartley showed her his penthouse and gave Julie Chang a secret about one of the props on the show. “They put watered-down diet coke [ pointing to the bar]to give it the right color for whiskey,” Justin explained.
