‘The Young and the Restless’ News: AMC Alum Michael E. Knight Heading To Y&R – Cast as Dr. Simon Neville

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers and casting news tease that Michael E. Knight has joined the CBS soap opera in a new role: Dr. Simon Neville. Knight is a three time Emmy Award winning actor, and you will most likely recognize him from his lengthy stint as Tad Martin on the now cancelled ABC soap opera “All My Children.” Knight has also starred on “NCIS,” “Hot In Cleveland,” “Date With an Angel,” and “Drop Dead Diva.”

According to “The Young and the Restless” spoilers from TV Insider, Knight’s new character Dr. Neville is a “Genoa City doctor with mysterious intentions.” Michael E. Knight is set to start filming his Y&R scenes on Wednesday September 9, and spoilers tease that he will make his Genoa City debut this Fall, in October 2015.

As of right now, “The Young and the Restless” spoilers surrounding Michael’s new character Dr. Neville are few and far between. And, having “mysterious intentions” doesn’t exactly narrow anything down. Seriously, what daytime drama characters don’t have mysterious intentions these days? It’s unclear what kind of doctor Dr. Neville even is, for all we know he may not be working at the Genoa City hospital – he could be someone’s psychologist or therapist. With all of the pregnancies and baby DNA drama – the odds of Michael Knight’s new character not being involved are slim to none.

Are you as excited as we are that Michael E. Knight is joining Y&R? What do you think Dr. Neville’s role will be in Genoa City? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
