‘The Young And The Restless’ News: Alyvia Alyn Lind Nominated For Critic’s Choice For ‘Coat Of Many Colors’

“The Young and the Restless” star, Alyvia Alyn Lind was nominated for a Critic’ Choice Award for her portrayal of Dolly Parton on NBC made-for-TV movie, “Coat of Many Colors,” according to Alyvia’s Twitter account. The child star tweeted her appreciation for all her fans who have supported her in the past couple of years.
Lind portrayed a young Dolly Parton in the movie “Coat of Many Colors.” Dolly said that when she met Alyvia, she knew that she was the perfect Dolly for the movie. Dolly Parton tweeted her support of Alyvia’s nomination today stating, “I’m so proud of @alyviaalynLind for being nominated for a @critcchoice award. I hope she wins!”

Alyvia made you feel for Dolly as she grieved for her little brother whom she will never meet because he passed away. She made you feel like screaming at your television to tell her mother; she needed her as the whole family grieved for the baby. In an interview, Lind stated she loved meeting Dolly because she taught her that anyone can be successful if you work hard enough.
Lind got the surprise of her life when she was asked for another call back for the NBC made-for-TV movie. She said she found it strange that so many people were present in the room for her last call-back. Suddenly, Dolly came to sit next to her to give her the news she would be cast as Dolly in her movie. Alyvia calls that moment one of the best moments in her career so far.

Alyvia portrays Faith Newman on “The Young and the Restless,” who is Nick [Joshua Morrow] and Sharon ‘s [Sharon Case] daughter. In addition to “The Young and the Restless,” Lind had appeared on “Masters of Sex,” “Revenge,” and the Adam Sandler movie, “Blended.”
